Holy shit really? That’s crazy. I live in a rural area and still can get an HVAC guy out in about a day usually it’s same day. We even have after hours guys. I do understand that a lot of the new generation has been sold desk jobs making 6 figures though, at least here…and not enough people want to take the outdoors and labor intensive style jobs anymore. Welders are a good one around my area, you’d think we’d be crawling in them, but nope they’re a trade that has a lot of openings, as the older generation(boomers) are retired, then Gen x is hitting retirement and there is even less millennials that picked up the trade and even less Gen z…times gonna get rough soon.

When we had rescued two conures and a cockatoo, I ended up building an aviary in a spare side of the house. India the country is not poor as fuck. It’s a nuclear power. Even after the west stripped it for profit, it still has absurds amount of wealth and resources.

So does pretty much every middle east country…and it’s consolidated at the top.

The other big difference is that while the power and money is consolidated to a segment of the population, that segment is very large compared to most countries.

Ratio wise, it’s probably less than you think. Remember India has 1.4 billion people.

And overall, you have the direction wrong. The middle east doesn’t export these people. The west accepts them as refugees. But because of the wealth of india, their refugees rarely get accepted. So the religous nutjobs still exist (I’ve worked with some), they just stay in country. They stone their own people for being gay, or refusing to marry their rapist and all that.

There are a good number of people from India all over the west though. I do agree that a lot of the EU takes in refugees at the expense of their own people though.
