And when your run out of enemies to hit with the one you’re holding? Hit the floor with it. If the floor is on fire they take bludgeoning and fire damage.

I fell in (more) love when I realized I could grab a goblin and attack another with it…but there was just the one goblin. So I attacked the ground. Gobbo took bludgeoning and fire damage because the ground was on fire.

I’d put just a bit more distance in there. Trap, to me, implies bait or deception being used to lure something or someone into a place or situation of your design.
