I no longer have access to a Samsung device, but found an old reddit thread recommending “Smart Switch to PC”. At a minimum, may make it possible to convert the tags to exif tags directly?

Might be worth a shot, anyway.

My partner is a mechanic and is often underneath a vehicle when a notification comes through; so for him, the watch acts like an extension of his phone that he doesn’t have to worry about falling out of his pocket.

And while he does have to worry about damaging the watch, this would still be true if it was a phone in his pocket; but would just be more surface area to get knocked into things.

Personally, I work at a desk all day; so outside of a few phone calls a month, I probably don’t even need a phone…

They’re expensive, but I’ve been using Mous cases on my last couple of phones, including my Pixel 7.

At work we’re using Bitwarden for the group benefits; though I still have KeePassXC running to simplify SSH keys (Windows, naturally) for native & PuTTY.

Personally, I use KeePassXC & KeePass android (currently); and sync’d through GDrive; which is good enough for my needs.

If you’d be interested in another souls-like, I can recommend Remnant 2 (or the previous title) – though, not the same combat style by any means.

I played the 2-3 demos before release, and have been continuing that trend since launch. “Nearly” at 100% achievements, though the remaining 3 are the big ones, so dunno how long it will take.

I have found that I enjoy the game more on low stakes (white/red), as the higher stakes are really just more annoying/RNG to me than anything.

Still, Stuntman will get me through.

Bit of a boring answer, but Gran Turismo 4 on the PS2 has stolen many hours off of my life.

Another honorable mention would be the rhythm game “Frequency”.

A third, which isn’t a game, is eJay Club World; though that’s more of a DAW than anything.

My parents recently got a new washer/dryer set; they had to buy commercial (though available to consumers) units to get non-smart units.

Just for additional context, are the Outlook connections Exchange, or standard IMAP/POP?

I assume this has changed with the modern releases then? My S10 had a ton of non-removable apps, primarily those from Samsung.

There’s really only a couple of things I missed from the S10 on my P7:

• The edge panel (ended up using Panels
• A tile to toggle ringer/vibrate/silent in the notification shade
  • I’ve gotten used to it now, but still prefer the way it’s handled in OneUI

Its less that it’s complex, moreso that there’s basically zero onboarding.

May be worth building a default config to “install” for those setups; that’s saved me quite some time when configuring new/spare machines at work.

For me, once I prove the username/password and tap “Login”, a third box appears asking for the MFA code

Part of the difficulty may have also been because it was my first foray into Android… at the moment I don’t have a specific example, but I seem to remember setting defaults was straight-forward; but either they were not always respected by certain interaction prompts, or some similar behavior.

As for GMail, I’m also no longer using the app and instead have opted for Spark (personal mailboxes) & Outlook (exchange, work)…

I’ve just recently switched from a Galaxy S10 to a Pixel 7 as I wanted to see the “vanilla” experience, as well as be closer to upstream for software updates. My S10 still works great, though the battery needs replacement (at the time, it had already broken the glue on the back glass and was still expanding – didn’t realize until I took it out of the case for cleaning)…

With my S10, I had to really fight to get it to let me use Google’s apps over the Samsung ones; which whole annoying is doable. So far, the only things I really miss from Samsung (and notably the UX):

• The sidebar/panel with an additional set of predefined apps
  • Replaced with Panels
• The volume/silent switch in the notification shade
• The Bixby button (for custom actions)
• Physically smaller phone, but that’s not a huge deal

Overall, I’m happy with the experience so far; though I dunno if the “Pro” model of anything is really worth it.

Not sure what MFA provider you’re using, but worked fine for my account with GAuth. Though, I’m currently trailing both Sync and Boost (the latter was my preferred reddit client)

I’d still like to move to a dedicated condenser on a boom, but at least for the time being, the PC37X I bought off of Drop like 6 years ago still sounds great to both my ears & the other members in VC. Granted, the unit is starting to fall apart now (volume-dial adhesive failed, raise-to-mute works about 50% of the time, etc), so I need to replace it anyway…

Still playing through Remnant 2; trying to get all non-HC items on my original character, as well as work on an apocalypse clear.

Otherwise, does rewriting bash/powershell scripts count as gaming?
