I’m in NZ and I’ve always hated it. Someone always goes and switches them off, and they’re totally unnecessary when every device already has its own switch

The difference is the order: long black has water on the bottom, espresso on top. Canadiano is the opposite.
Long black’s better because it preserves the crema better (it doesn’t get murdered by pouring the water on top)
I’d use it if it didn’t cost extra in my country. Swiping my card really isn’t much harder
TERM is the default (15). 9 is KILL
In Dune II (1992) the units move slower when they’re off screen. This is useful because you can only select one unit at a time to give orders, so if you want to send an army into the enemy base you send them one at a time. But then you can carefully position your camera to allow the units at the rear to catch up with those in the lead so your whole army arrives at once and overwhelms the enemy.
Putting mold on infections? Wait what?
I like to hold the banana upright facing away from me, and then I sneak up behind it and use a really sharp knife to sever the jugular part way through before I rip its head backward, peeling the skin all the way down its spine.
It’s immensely satisfying, especially the crisp clear sound the knife makes as it cuts off the life force
I’m not from US but this looks like a normal roach to me.
I don’t have space for a desktop computer - and I have a standalone house, it’s not like I’m in some tiny apartment, so I’m guessing this isn’t too unusual? I pull out the laptop when I want to play games.
It helps that I don’t play AAA games and a decent spec laptop plays what I want just fine
What else would you call an analog clock?
I’m 38 and still take 10s to read an analog clock.
I do still say half past etc though. I don’t really associate them with digital vs analog
Odometer readings
I’m a nerd. I know vaguely what RCS is because I had a discussion in 2019 with a friend about it. Do I have it? Do I use it? I have no idea. Is it an app or just a protocol that happens behind the scenes? I would assume the latter. My phone’s a few years old, isn’t everyone’s? Probably that means I don’t have it. No way to tell and I’m not going to bother trying to find out.
I’m so much more technical than most people btw
American political ideology as a whole has shifted left in recent years
What the fuck is this bullshit. This is the opposite of what has happened.
I love olives. I didn’t think you could have too many olives.
Once, on my honeymoon, I was at an expensive buffet. I found out just how many olives is too many olives. It was something like 35. More than that many olives is too many olives.
I was using sus as a kid 30 years ago. I’m quite confused by how it’s apparently a gen Z thing
“and so” is perfectly valid as a conjunction for implying causation. “Thus” would be a synonym. It fits better than “and also” which doesn’t imply causation and so isn’t the right word.

If those shelf brackets are fixed in place and screwed in with two screws above each other that’s probably enough diagonal bracing for lightweight use, considering it’ll normally be screwed into a wall too. The fact that theres no horizontal bracing at floor level might be a bigger issue — those feet will be easily bent/broken
This looks amazing. There aren’t enough RTS games being made
