the sharp library (server side) and the HTML picture element (client side) might be relevant for what you’re trying to accomplish
Would love to see an optional monthly subscription to Lemmy where funds are automatically distributed based on how you used Lemmy that month. There would have to be a lot of research on how to avoid exploitation, but Open Collective might have some good examples of how to securely handle funds like that
“At least, that’s what everyone thought…”

It does feel weird giving so much personal information to a person you just met online
Oh wow I’ve never heard of that before, how did you discover you had that?
you don’t fully know until you taste it
Super informative, thanks!
yeah that’s rough, I can imaging even more traumatizing with someone you had a relationship with. unfortunately no matter how much we might want a graceful resolution, when someone crosses boundaries like that there’s no “good” way to handle it—they have already forced you in a position where you are being hurt, trapped, or defenseless. there needs to be some level of consequence when boundaries are crossed like this, otherwise the same problems just get worse and worse over the years. i think the most important thing is to not internalize it as part of your identity. that’s not who you are at all, it was a reasonable decision you made quickly in a dangerous situation. even animals have boundaries and will lash back if you cross them, and unfortunately there’s a lot of people that won’t understand unless they really feel it
if you have an iPhone I use the R Download shortcut and it lets you download a lot of things through the standard share menu
even though it seems justified, I can image that’s a lot to deal with emotionally
yeah it’s probably @thisbenzingring@lemmy.sdf.org ‘s fault
I second this, I came here to escape reality
Yeah I’m the one on the beanbag sorry for the confusion guys
Yes. Any instances that are linked with your current instance basically become one—all communities, posts, and comments become intertwined into one big social network and you can interact freely. Behawshould be included so you probably haven’t come across a community hosted there yet. You can always see what instances are linked by going to the homepage of any Lemmy instance, scrolling to the bottom and clicking Instances
