Damn right, the real-estate bubble got started under Harper and kept going steadily under Trudeau, probably because so many politicians are also landlords or in cahoots with developers/investors (including the NDP).
Canada is eyes-deep into the “fuck you, I got mine” nightmare mentality across the entire political spectrum.
They could try paying people decent wages, which have been stagnating for 35 years. Maybe then they’ll be more motivated to be more productive.
Air Canada pilots have just joined ALPA and got pretty big raises in their new contract. Good for them, but management is pissed.

AC has gone to absolute shit. I fly internationally and pay extra to not fly with them due to past experiences. They still owe me thousands of dollars for “lost” luggage and hotel nights last year and I hope to never fly with those bozos ever again. AC management being shit is one thing, the way the agents treat passengers is another level of insult.
They’re cutting a ton of good union jobs and offshoring as much as possible while being crazy profitable. This is so fucked up.
