  • Internal anti-zionist organizing in Western Judaism is so thoroughly crushed it’s basically a non factor not having any more of an effect than a cool parish or two have on Christianity.

The fact that Jewish anti-zionists can use their identity to protect other anti-zionist protestors from state and non-state zionist violence is a good example of Jewish people not being oppressed by in the West or a vulnerable identity.

we’ve seen the harm that comes from outright banning or discriminating against people based on religion alone

The thing to unlearn is that nobody is suggesting to do any kind of discrimination towards Jewish people. My comment didn’t suggest that either. That this feeling gets centered at all and erupts autonomously is a consequence of ambient liberal zionism. Judaism and Jewish people are not under attack.

Hexbear has not unlearned the fact that Jewish people are just as reactionary as Christians. They are not special - and the fact that saying that can feel like an attack is a symptom of how deeply hegemonic liberal zionism is. Like being fish not understanding water or a liberal not understanding that they also have an ideology, it’s hegemonic. 90% support the state of Israel. Wasting precious oxygen on antisemitism during an ongoing genocide when Palestine can can be centered feeds into their genocide.

As a side note there is no liberation theologist equivalent in Judaism here. Any attempt at doing so would be forcibly mutated into the same reactionary force in the same vein as the Communist Party of America. Jewish people and Judaism are It’s not cool or progressive or liberal any moreso than Christians and Christianity are.

If you are an antizionist Jew every attempt will be made to rip your Jewish identity from you because that identity now thoroughly and materially belongs to reaction. You can post, you can protest, but you’re trying to take Catholicism back from the Pope.

  • (Marathon-posting) Marathon Reddit has the wrong idea of how to the game works, they throw themselves at Trio crew-fill and don’t make any progress

The best way to learn the game is

    1. Free Kit Solo Questing no Extract (you will die but progress your factions) + Rook Scavenging with Extract to fill your vault and get faction upgrade materials

These teach you fundamental game skills and map knowledge without losing your gear, and will actually only build up your inventory until you have enough fundamentals to keep them and enough faction upgrades to survive attrition

Then you can move into 2. Worst kit solos or Worst Kit duos/trios This stage is basically just playing for fun, once you have a collection of blue kits and the looting skills you learned from your free kit time you will be able to survive a lot of gear attrition. You run your worst gear and if you lose it you move up to your new worst gear.

I probably took this to an extreme but now I can probably run blue kits without any fear because I can instantly restock anything I lose lol

Get the upgrades for daily free items and you’ll be swimming in it

I had a lot of fun learning this game, I really tried to examine the game mechanics and economy dialectically and ended up playing completely differently from my lib friends

  • Don’t need to press, freeze or do corn starch

    • Get extra firm tofu

    • Tear into small half-nugget sized pieces and throw into large bowl. Don’t be concerned about the tofu crumbling, those tiny pieces will be cooked as well and crisp up really nicely.

    • In the bowl season with salt, pepper, cooking oil, msg and rub it in. You can eat raw tofu, I eat a piece to make sure it’s seasoned well.

    • Give nonstick pan a small layer of cooking oil and set heat to 5 or 6 if your pan can handle it. The tofu is not being deep fried and will absorb most of the oil in this frying process.

    • Once oil is hot throw in the tofu and cook until crisp on bottom, flip and crisp each face as well. The cooked surfaces should feel crispy on your spatula. You can flip and crisp faces multiple times to avoid burning.

    • Once it feels almost done (and at this step the tofu should have absorbed a majority of the initial cooking oil) add some vegan butter on to the pan, about 1 teaspoon

    • Sprinkle some more seasonings i.e salt, msg, pepper, they’ll absorb alongside the vegan butter.

    • Flip and move around the pan until it feels crispy and absorbs the butter and remaining cooking oil.

    • Serve with seasoned rice for example with rice mixed with Mang Tomas which can be found in the international aisle or Asian grocery stores (the North American version is vegan, it’s basically a Filipino sweet instant gravy in a bottle) or put it into vegan instant noodles like Indomie Mi Goreng or Ichiban Chow Mein Yaki Soba.

You can also dip it into Mang Tomas or a sweet agave-garlic (like honey garlic) dipping sauce

I eat tofu multiple times a day, I used to freeze the tofu and doing the fancy corn starch frying, but I found it to be unnecessary and too time consuming. If you learn how to get a good crisp, the water evaporates and the tofu will absorb the oils/vegan butter/sauce you used in cooking. MSG and vegan butter makes a huge difference. This method can be done in around 30 minutes to an hour and only makes 2-3 dishes.

You can get more elaborate with it but this is the baseline method that I use to cook the tofu.

Here’s a photo of my method, in this particular one I did a hybrid of slicing the tofu with a knife and tearing. It reminds me a bit of Filipino lechun.
