It said: “Go back to reddit with your violent calls to action.”
Wow, every single word in that sentence was wrong.
Not the person you replied to but I liked the openness in the original a lot more, 2 and 3 were fun but I got nowhere near the replayability. The destruction felt a lot better in the original too from what I remember, crash a truck into a building and cave in part of it which was amazing for my 8500gt at the time… at 8 frames per second haha
Yep FORScan let me set the VIN on an electronic power steering rack (because that’s totally cool to require so you can’t just replace it at home right?).
I beleive it is actually IDS just reverse engineered and more accessible, unfortunately not every maker has one of those out there it really should be legally required when you buy the car to at least get the software to “own” it.
The same reason they won’t let you buy the dealership scan software for under 10k. Almost every maker has an in house scanner and due to standards they only need to provide certain data to non dealer level tools and I believe the standard only exists for gas powered vehicles that need to provide OBD2 data. Plenty of makers (BMW is horrible about this) stuff away data where a normal obd scanner just won’t access and it’s gotten much worse with the overuse of CANBus (I sure love when my trunk lid sensor prevents my fucking car from starting).
Thats where your snapon and other third party scanners start bringing a gap, but even those are extremely pricey and need to be updated constantly and even those usually won’t do EVERYTHING.
Fwiw the cheapest and best way I’ve found is basically to pirate the dealer software and get a compatible knockoff scanner (vxdiag for example). I have Ford IDS and a couple others this way but assume that the software is gonna install something malicious and dedicate an old Thinkpad or something to it.
Depending on the age of your vehicle something like Torque Pro is extremely useful. I have mine monitoring transmission temp, long and short term fuel trims, O2 sensor signals, voltage, mass air speed, intake temp. It’s more than enough data to see something coming long before it becomes an issue.
Docker image layering and nightlies for the heavier installs has worked pretty well for me. Dependencies from things like npm, composer etc are all build time still but more of the base stuff is on a weekly build cycle. We just do notifications if the nightlies fail to manually resolve it which is very very seldom
More fluffed crap to flood the internet but of course
Adjust your thumbstick deadzone if you haven’t yet, the default is super high I run mine at 2000 and it made them feel a lot more responsive.
I like to have gyro aim only when I touch the right track pad, playing through Halo MCC right now and it’s fantastic, especially using turrets with gyro. Thumbstick for general movement, track pad and gyro for combat.
We’re using the grunt party skull where you get the party sounds and streamers when you headshot them and I’m able to pretty consistently nail them after a few missions with that setup.
Not using any auto aim
Well in California where I am, you have to be really stupid to not pass the driving test, so it would almost be more on par with open carry, which I’m not really against them banning.
(Disclaimer, I don’t know NM laws I’m basing this off of Cali if they just hand out permits for a fee and nothing else then feel free to point that out).
Concealed carry typically requires training, getting fingerprinted, interviewing with the Sheriff, and them ultimately deciding whether or not to approve it. It also requires a renewal every 2 years which is much more than drivers as you have to retake the training to renew.
I do think driving should require you to at least take a basic test every few years though, a lot of people seem to not know how to drive.
While interesting info on that link, it is diluted by some of the statistics. Holding a concealed carry permit doesn’t make you more liable to commit suicide for example as you could just as easily own that weapon without the CCW.
Overall does feel like a rather small list given the total number of license holders and a lot of the situations don’t seem to pertain to concealed carry. Now if the list showed every incident where a CCW holder escalated a situation and unjustifiably shot someone that would be another story.
The license is to protect yourself against (ideally one) armed aggressors or someone with a physical advantage (i.e. someone attempting to assault a woman in a parking lot). That could be someone with a knife, blunt object, firearm. Nobody gets one thinking they’re going to stop a mass shooting, the odds would be stacked against you to stop a mass shooter.
New Mexico requires you to be licensed to concealed carry doesn’t it? Curious what this accomplishes, how many licensed concealed carry holders are aggressors in a crime?
You’ve insulted my entire existence I challenge you to a duel
I sure hope so, I love my steam controller but it really could benefit from dual thumbsticks
Doesn’t mean much with how bad the QA and overall lifespan of Pixel devices have been unfortunately. Hopefully better this time but hard to want to put money in when the previous generations all had such issues and bad QC.
Extending warranty for the 5As then handing out equally defective devices is a pain. I’m on my 3rd one and I’m really not planning on it surviving over a year since none of the others did and when they died I was sitting down using the phone.
Only thing keeping me on them is GrapheneOS, too difficult to go back after getting a taste of it lol
While not something I would ever use, I can definitely see the use. It does look nice but as someone who has experienced Microsoft from the start it’s gonna be a no for me.
Weird mine was $0
Yeah and they have no top end
I had a 3 day old Macbook Pro have the screen shatter when opening it. The store said it would be covered then the repair center said it would be $2000 which was only $600 less than the entire laptop. Took like 3 hours on the phone and finally the freaking store paid out the repair center. Thinkpads from now on lol
