Your post is very confusing. Is this meant to be a tutorial?
I think it would fit in linux_gaming@lemmy.world or linux_gaming@lemmy.ml more.

Steam Deck is just a computer. You can install any other Linux distro. Or Windows, if you are into that. I wouldn’t recommend anything other than SteamOS, though.
That’s very unfortunate. However, I’d like mention a few things about attempting a self-repair:
I was recently looking for a decent WiFi 7 router to replace my aging Archer A6. Then, looked up the table of hardware at toh.openwrt.org and almost none of the WiFi 7 routers from mainstream brands was supported. Glad to see something first-party releasing soon. I’ll definitely buy one when it releases.
Because those are megabytes, not gigabytes
Interesting… I didn’t know one can counter-sue another in advance.
Firefox is available on F-Droid under the name of Fennec.
Even if your laptop does not have a dedicated GPU, it still needs one to render things on your display, so there’s the integrated one. Since you said the laptop had a Ryzen CPU, it has an AMD GPU.
Keep in mind that 1060 will give you a lot of headache for games using DirectX 12. If you can, get an RTX 20 series or GTX 16 series card, or dual boot with Windows.
I replaced most stock apps with Google’s ones, with Network access revoked. I really like their UI and UX.
GrapheneOS on Google Pixel 9
I quite like their hardware. Only wish that their custom ROM support was better. I bought a Google Pixel 9 recently just for GrapheneOS support.
Yay! Love me some more UMU stuff.
While SteamOS is open-source and everyone can build one for themselves, it is only officially supported on Steam Deck. They promised to release a generic version of it targeting more devices in the past, and this post hints that that day is closer.
My pleasure. Glad to be helpful.
Pop!_OS uses systemd-boot bootloader by default. You can use T key and/or Shift+T key combination to change the timeout duration while the menu is on display. I have been using UKIs without a bootloader for a long time, but if I recall correctly you can reduce it to zero and have it be practically disabled.
It does support both insecure plain text exports and encrypted exports. I use it to backup my tokens and transfer them between my computers as well.
WearOS support? Nice
Doesn’t SteamOS satisfy that requirement? What do you dislike about it?
