The curse of being on a tail end, top or bottom 🤣🤣. I’m blissfully in the middle!
Until it does, I’ll make sure to mention the inconsistency in every TIFF-mentioned conversation I happen to be in.

It seems some scraper bros think it’s all a game or a challenge. This is one of the few things appropriate for harsh criminal sentences so they get the message. If that’s jurisdictionally impossible or whatever, then vigilante justice is the only recourse.

I actually think it’d go way deeper than McRacism and even “class,” interestingly.

Buddy, you think people you talk to have to have a high opinion of themself or something?
Pause the ad hominem train for one second even, lol, and maybe consider that most of us “weirdos” are perfectly satisfied just getting day to day with a clear conscience.
And please stop projecting I beg you it hurts both of us more you think 😵. Like do you actually think your juvenile attempts at vitriol isn’t stuff I’ve seen 200,000 times, like 20 years ago? A w k w a r d.
If you actually care about other people even possibly considering what you have to say instead of just laughing at your monologues, try stating only constructive stuff (conservatives hate this one trick!).

$1 T… being taken by parasites. Not just any parasite but ones that prey and pray on the misfortune and deaths of others.
I’d sooner bat an eye if a mosquito got swatted than if they came across an Italian plumber. It’s obscene that our laws and “leaders” allow them to walk around free.

This take is so hot it could burn down the trash heap that is contemporary society!

For someone who started their spiel with “it’s not so simple…” you sure throw out a lot of extremely simplistic suggestions and examples to try and prove your point. Irony.
Also, you think I work a “job”? I suppose in your small simple world anyone who doesn’t clock in and clock out is either homeless or uber rich and successful. Amazing what capitalism can do to brains.

Tossing food might make those listed costs disappear… if it’s tossed, or rather never harvested or collected, at the source, like on a farm or tree. Wait no even then there’s costs associated.
Just kidding, stopped reading at “market.” That word’s a near sure sign that someone’s definitely swallowed a lot of somethin that ain’t food.

“I have never seen universities respond to any issue the way they respond to Palestinian activism.”
On that note, universities should really permanently get rid of management and execs that clearly don’t support student open-mindedness but rather braindead obeisance. Pretty simple policy change… right?

I use transit a few times a year and drive once a week. I would absolutely pay from my property tax for fewer drivers on the road. The cost is unfortunately not reducible to some % fewer drivers on the road; that’d be more the specific project or vehicle for change, of which transit is one (of hopefully many)…
P.S. take it from the cop budget that eats half the budget. And put me on that tesseract list already!
Having read Signs of Danger by Wyck and come across the “use religion as a tool” method, my conclusion was and still is, that it’s not worth the cost. You don’t need to use fairy tales or tales of the boogeymen because the target audience aren’t fucking children.
Authoritative religiosity has killed, kills, and will continue to kill far more than a future unlucky tribe, scientist, or archaeologist digging up some nuclear waste because present society couldn’t bury it deep enough or give a bigger fk to fund a generationally self-perpetuating warning system (because that’d actually give independent power to science and rationality instead of politicians).

“course fur”
Before AI I could just chalk it up to an intern writer or something. Now I don’t know.

The best they ever have to offer is circular reasoning or no reasoning at all. Makes me wonder why they believe it.
Do they even realize when they’re mixing feelings (or ideals) with facts? 🤷♂️

So… Ignoring and ostracizing say, toxic boomers, actually speeds up how fast they go away? This is great news. The teeniest bit of karma.

Traitors…?

Sometimes removing yourself from the pipeline is all a person can do. It need not even be framed as a “protest.” That’s just weird projection by someone who’s never been in those situations (or someone who’s interested in continuing to collect a paycheck while cope telling themselves they’re doing “good” by staying because the replacement would be even worse or any other eyeroll ego attempt at rationalization).
Your choice of conjectures, quasi-rhetorical questions, say a lot about what you’re after, which is not simply understanding but some kind of vindication.
Anyways, it is somewhat naive to believe in the myth of the incorruptible person AND that they can change broken shit fuck organizations by being in the right place. Modern systems and structures are way better at neutralizing potential rogue agents like that. One example: Shareholder desires of “value” trump other corporate considerations. It’S tHe LaW.
For your questions or pursuit of understanding, prima facie, in my opinion what can be called a proper answer are empirical, anthropological, or cultural facts, not so much a reasoning or philosophical matter. Maybe it’s different now but back in my day (which was as early as 11 years ago), this information was realistically only available in colleges. Due to its highly political (or anti-political) nature, it is difficult to find in public-facing or mainstream infotainment outlets, ie anything “pop.”

They always manage to live down to their reputed basebornness
I would be so triggered if this happened to me
I still did it anyway with no expectations…lucky for me it worked I think.
