  • Perfect.

As an allegedly misandrist, man-feminist critical of Men’s culture broadly, I am telling you this: these are the only two things you need to believe in.

I am tasking you with the responsibility of simply wanting a better society. If you see any person being harassed or chauvenistic or socially ignored because they’re not “in the club,” man or woman, and no matter the debate on which demographics tend to do what more often—if you have the heroic urge to help someone, that’s all you need.

This might sound a bit like I’m asking you to do something you already do, but if that’s true, that’s even better! A lot of people out there think of themselves as heroes but are easily swept away from the call to action by things like the bystander effect or simply not wanting to rock the boat. I believe in your ability to stand up and help people.

Also, I am surprised by your straightforwardness. I appreciate that, lol. :)

  • Oh.

In that case, I don’t think this is an accessibility I respect.

Skill in any medium is accessible only to those who have been educated in that skill. I get that it’s expensive, but that is unfortunately just how attribution works.

I’m not interested in the musings of a philosopher whose philosophy is written for them. I’m not interested in the artistic expression of someone whose expression is decided for them. Your ideas have to come from you.

If someone wants a colorful backdrop to something else they’re doing, then images are more accessible, but art is not.

  • maybe AI will too one say, who knows?

    One can hope.

The key difference here between this and photography, though, is that photography only displaced painters. You can tell by looking whether something is a photograph or not. Usually.

AI is very good and will only get better. When the machine can replicate any style, any subject, 3,000 times a minute: what is left for people to even do? How will you ever know a person was there?

If these tools were built to be honest, such that you always knew when something was generated and when something wasn’t, I wouldn’t have nearly as much of a problem with it.
