Great game that is a horror shooter, but I wouldn’t call it a MilSim though. MilSims are usually games like Arma or Squad.

This is the fallout from the technology industry shrinking and coming to terms with itself. See the crash of the Silicon Bank recently as an example. Basically as the positive outlook toward these kind of businesses and pursuits continues to mellow out we’ll see these companies look inward to squeeze as much money out of their products as possible.
I see that and you explained it well. I guess it’s the idea that in the debate it’s not about the merits of your ideas but things outside the debate that affect if you win or lose in this scenario that’s the problem for me. Point totally taken though that we’ll never fully remove the biases, I just think we should try to be as even handed as possible in these educational settings.
Very good point - I think however it’s worth noting the lack of the NSDA’s addressing of the judges biases and the high levels of debate within that organization the specific people oversee.
Regardless, and to the authors point, if an alternative org is provided that people prefer, it will gain popularity.
Sweet, like 30 years to late and for a dying industry.
Super cool and great find. I always wanted one of these
This is super cool! Question though, can you play through different levels each attempt or does it always start at liberty island?
Totally agree on 8 and even 11 appears to be busy despite their intent for the contrary. That being said I feel like 10 will go down in history with XP and 7 as being simple and usable. I could have blinders on though because I’ve been using it for like a decade now.
How much did you pause? I felt like I just kinda let it go at full speed and paused as needed which I know put me in rough spots.
This game gave me a stress that I can’t really express in words. Something about getting so close to the end and barely hanging on. They really nailed the anxiety and pressure that comes with a situation like that.
It’s the pray emoji bro
Ironically skyrim is its own open world sandbox game
Big yes on this one. Especially if you include the mods that that combine the maps of all three games. It becomes an amazing open world survival experience.
This is the best way to look at it imo
With modern (non-multiplayer) games it always seems as though there’s a clear “main” chunk of the game. I usually try to complete that bit to feel as though I “beat” the game.
Main chunks are main story, levels, or getting beyond the main obstacle. Sandbox games are a good example of something outside this sphere and with those I simply enjoy the experience and don’t sweat completion.
I find myself playing more sandbox style games as things go due to time and skill commitments which has been an interesting change from when I was younger.
Check out all the old “immersive sims” like Deus Ex, Arx Fatalis, System Shock 2, and Thief.
If you’re cool with emulators, PSX has a metric ton of JRPGs that will absolutely devour your life.
Holy shit, just casually dropping that they’re working on a new Perfect Dark is crazy.
I think no, so much of what makes the Steam Deck great is SteamOS. Plus my understanding is that this things battery life isn’t very good.
That being said, still appears to be a competent competitor and I’m here for that.
Which are totally badass ultimately lol
