The Visit Mexico ads are definitely propaganda, the word itself is a synonym of advertisement, but bening propaganda and displays a good relationship between Mexico and the United States, that is why you don’t hear backlash from it. Like I mentioned before the anti-migration message could have been agreed with the Mexican government.
You are framing your position on the fact that the mexican government position is incendiary or pissy, but the same can be said from the US ads, which are unprofessional, unprompted and unexpected, making them incendiary and pissy. Thus making them toxic propaganda.
Your comment looks troll-like, but I will bite.
One of the definitions of propaganda is “information, especially of a biased or misleading nature, used to promote a political cause or point of view.”
In this situation is “information used to promote a political cause”, the cause being anti-migration. You may say it is only for the “illegals” but currently in the US anything appears to be illegal (see the case of the german backpackers).
The expectation is for governments to work together for such spots, the fact that the US bypassed the Mexican government and contacted directly the mexican media companies is a huge red flag. It was not any American person, it was the US government.
The article mentions that Tesla is kind of justifying the behavior by saying it is based on energy consumption and some other bullshit. The expectation according to SAE, which I find very interesting, is to be in a range of +/- 4% and for GPS enabled odometers+/- 2.5%, Tesla is missing the mark for at least 36%.
This one is also very good.
Get the short stories from Stephen King, I like “Everything is eventual” particularly “The Man in the Black Suit” , I have kids now so I think about this one pretty often. Also the “1408” short story is there.
E.M. Carroll has some other comics but I haven’t read them yet.
And switching things a little bit, play “Fear amd Hunger” or watch Worm Girl narrating it. Really dread-y
That’s all I remember for now.
If you have not read it, I recommend you this short comic: https://emcarroll.com/comics/faceallred/01.html
Same dread feeling…
Bro, just use AI, bro, you don’t need developers, bro, also skip the testing, bro, who is going to hack your SaaS, bro
Should have been an AI generated voice narrating the issue showing the words on the screen with Minecraft gameplay as background.
Idiocracy is now
Well, well, well… if it isn’t the consequences of your own actions
I like that now games try to fitt within the capabilities of handhelds, which I see as a win-win situation. Games focused on gameplay rather than aesthetics and better optimization for games.
Dude, I have an i5 8600k with a RTX 3070, using Arch. There is nothing to fear, yes I had issues some time ago when I had the GTX 1080 but not any more. I’m even using Hyprland. Give it a try on another with another disk.
About that, Germany is currently struggling with the Chinese for (global) market share. There was hope to win the electric car race but China brought them to market fairly quickly, while the German Automotive Industry moved slowly as it often does.
Yah, Ed Sheeran is finally becoming mainstream
I do believe you but it’s getting to the point that it’s the same or not as cumbersome as Windows.
Of course, you already have Windows and you are used to the nuances so you stay with it. But the nuances are still there, you can’t do anything about them and there are more every year.
For me, the worst part is that you (and I) paid for it, and if you go an complain they tell you to eat dicks. So, I switched long time ago but dual booted for gaming until Proton became a thing.

Check your journald and/or make your script log it’s actions.
Script > ~/script.log
According to the Arch Wiki you need to place the .desktop file in:
~/.config/autostart/*****.desktop
You also need to add the following line to the .desktop file:
X-GNOME-Autostart-enabled=true
But that’s probably the hard way to do it, I think the settings panel should also have a Startup Application tab.
What are you using as a Desktop Environment? Certain with DEs the Autostart programs need to be added in the config file.
Well you are talking about 2 different things.
Stalking: just following a person for your own personal benefit.
And Spying/Surveillance: following someone to share the information with another entity or government.
The person in question had several logs and such logs were communicated to the chinese government, they have proof of this, so such actions are criminal offenses.
