CPI-ML and CPI(M) are different. This is actually CPI(M) right here that OP is showing. So India had its original CPI which split amidst the Sino-Soviet split, not in a Maoist vs USSR direction, but more over domestic strategy that was exacerbated. The splinter formed CPI Marxists which is now more powerful. From there you have about 30 other regional and national and underground parties. The Naxalites are the illegal CPI - M (Maoists) now mostly, though some of them as well as other communists formed the legal though very militant CPI-ML (Liberation)

India has two major national Communist parties, and like each state has at least one separate one or one that effectively only runs candidates in 2 or 3 states.

New? This goes all the way back to one of the earliest “accounts” which is a misconstruing of an early Mormon writing about how he met Cain. From just a glance at South Sudan news, no. What is happening in Darfur is going to spill out and already has, but it seems South Sudan is having its ceasefire from its civil war unravel. In South Sudan it seems the Nuer White Army is fighting the government again and the vice president, who is in the opposition and was formerly aligned with them, was arrested because of this. Probably just used as an excuse, he has been put under house arrest before. He also condemned the use of Ugandan forces to fight against these new hostilities.
