I’ve never played Assasins Creed but why on earth would a game like that need loot boxes? That just sounds crazy to me.

Ah yeah for sure you can also just use your phone but the deck screen is bigger and it can also just play your other steam games as well. I’ve just been obsessed with Helldivers recently and it does not look good running natively on the deck

If you also use a gaming PC it’s amazing. Leave it on at home and you can stream demanding games to it from outside your house. I do it with Helldivers all the time

Now I want to know how to calibrate a 6 year old

I’ll be surprised if it really is 120 fps. Something tells me not a lot of games will run at that framerate

Thank you for such a long writeup to my simple question. I would definitely love to selfhost my own little lemmy instance someday in the future. It never made sense to me that this place was automatically better when it’s just technically someone else’s servers.

I had an omen laptop with a 2060 and it was alright. I wanted better performance on a 1440p monitor so I sold it for a desktop build.

That’s amazing. I want to have that kind of relationship with my future kids/nieces/nephews.

Bruh I don’t even have a kid yet. Also, this could be for peace of mind if the kid is in a position where they can’t ask for help from someone else.

A smartwatch seems like an interesting way to keep in touch with your kid/keep track of them. I guess it could be abused like anything else though.
