If I’m reading the writing on the walls correctly and we (as Euros) will be diving head first into fascism soon then these are the days when local communists like me should start organizing and arming an actual vanguard party (I don’t trust the local communist party with its European Left -association, nor do I know if the other one “Kommunistinen Työväenpuolue” has a nationwide reach), but I’m already a burnt-out, nearly disabled, broken husk of a person. Ooof, I also occasionally make the mistake of reading the Yle comments and usually it ruins the rest of my day with similar reactions, ie. I either wanna get drunk or kill myself or both. Very Finnish of me now that I think about it.

A while back I left a comment on some article that they allowed commenting on. The comment was anti-government, anti-capitalist and possibly anti-NATO as well, so obviously it got flagged automatically. The bot claimed in an email the regular stuff how it was either hurtful or something that was already stated in said comments, but when I requested a contact with a human administrator they told me the actual reason was “Negative effects on civic discourse and voting”, and then offered no additional elaboration when I raised some hell on this. Shortly after they turned off this option, and instead nowadays you’d have to make a complaint to the Helsinki district court or whatever for individual comment moderation practices which is just chef’s kiss.

I don’t believe they intend to start pumping out affordable EVs – which clearly is what most potential buyers would prefer – because otherwise ain’t nobody got money for that. Just a while back Finland’s fresh minister of social affairs and health Wille Rydman – a know pedophile,removed, racist and fascist – went on a morning TV show (on the national broadcasting company’s channel no less) to talk about our nation’s healthcare provider problem (the fact that the entire problem has been manufactured through privatization by our populist and far-right fuckers-in-charge notwithstanding) and apparently spent the entire time berating immigrants for their lack of expertise in Finnish, and pumping up the privatization of healthcare as some kind of a panacea for this.

Yeah shit seems wild in Finland. Allegedly the jets being scrambled and shit was because there was something that amounts to an “anonymous tip” that there could be a Ukrainian drone carrying a “heavier” load of explosives maybe coming this way, which allegedly turned out to be just a false alarm. They haven’t bothered disclosing who exactly gave the warning, maybe it was Ukraine, maybe another NATO ally, who knows? The discourse seemes to have changed entirely into how spectacularly the early-warning system failed, and the absolute necessity for a better one. I’d agree with that one, but seeing how this government is already completely held by a right coalition with most of the lefties playing varying parts in tow. This, along with the already settled increase to the nation’s defence budget, gives me serious pause for whats to come regarding furthering the mass surveillance of citizens, with Chat Control from the EU legislature and a recent meeting with Israeli weapons suppliers painting the sky dark.

There was indeed a situation in Latvia, a quick reading of that could suggest that the Latvian right would use this vacuum to consolidate power to drive the same changes happening here. But haven’t read from any comrades there, so. Drones have been flying absolutely everywhere around here it seems, funny.
