  • I mean, why wouldn’t sharing sexual pictures and videos outside of the given consent by the performer be sexual abuse? If you perform in a porn video for a porn company and sign all documents, it is clear that you know and agree that the video will be sold publicly. If you send a nude to someone in private, you totally are not agreeing to be posted on the internet. OnlyFans is kind of in between - if you post something there for your subscribers, the consent is that the subscribers see the content after paying for it.

  • I really, really don’t understand why we are getting bombarded with posts about those 4 people here. This is the 5th? 8th? 10th article that was posted in /c/europe about this? And it’s infuriating stupid. Germany “has to save its democracy and respect the Holocaust” by letting random people destroy their university buildings? Meanwhile there were some Palestinians in Gaza protesting against Hamas, with a great risk for themselves and their lives. Nobody here did care about this. Nothing those “activists” did will help in any way to solve the conflict. Nothing, absolutley nothing. Let’s not talk about stupid people doing stupid things for stupid reasons and let’s really not smear the history of the Holocaust by doing a comparison here. Kicking out some foreigners doing crimes is not the same as fucking murdering million people on an industrial scale.

I think that there are many things to consider here:

    • “correct” usage of a language is important, but we must be careful to not exclude people. English is not my native language, so this post will contain errors and if you’re going full grammar nazi, you might end up excluding people from written communication. That is not good
    • languages are evolving and it is the written mission of every official language committee to keep the official guidances in line with the changes of the language. Here in germany they are changing the official rules if the language is changing and are “legalizing” some new words
    • But: They are not legalizing gender neutral language due to political reasons. According to their own guidance, they have to, because that is in actual use, but they are refusing.
    • And then literal nazis are talking about “correct grammar” while not being able to spell themselves and that is stupid
