Ok but what if they cannot pay 80% less for one made in China?

The other commentator is right. Its easy to tell someone “just sell your car and walk” or whatever when you are not directly affected by the change you are asking someone else to make. Take a second and think of all the injustices in the world YOU are indirectly, involuntarily complicit in and what it might mean to be targeted for that reason. It is for this we offer charity to others, and therein is a clear line between wearing a nazi pin as a symbol and driving a Tesla, literally an appliance.
Interesting point. I thought about this a little and I suppose what separates a strike from this would be what is an organized opposition to a system vs. a targeted attack on individuals.
Crazy take. You dont have agency to address real issues (money in politics, correctly taxing gains, lack of good leadership and social infrastructure) so lets lash out at other wage earners who have more in common with you.
Chinese EVs are already being sold worldwide. We can either choose to “stand with” western auto manufacturers, or let free market do its thing. In this scenario it only makes sense to play both sides and offer people some economic relief.
I dont think anyone is advocating for lowering auto safety standards to allow Chinese EVs on roads. Lets be realistic in acknowledging that Chinese made vehicles are already in use in many parts of the world and provide comparable security and privacy standards as their American counterparts (viz. None).
Call the offices of James P Alibini and see of they handle hate crimes first.
Im guessing adding plugins is part of your default workflow when installing browsers somehow. Ublock origin is the most used plugin on firefox Id reckon, but a fresh install doesnt carry it.
Beautiful description. Well said.
Not a history expert. But I believe dota (defense of the ancients) was (one of?) the first games to create this genre of tower defense in 5v5 with the focus on heroes and skills instead of RTS marco. When others came along, they were initially referred to as “dota-like”, which obviously was not acceptable marketing for RIOT. Hence they coined the term MOBA, which come to think of it doesnt really mean anything? (Multi player online battle arena?)
What a fantastic piece by a really good author. Worth reading in its entireity, long as it is.
Or a reverse Narcos TV show where south american authorities enter and destroy US gun factories.
Sadly the r/dota2 community doesnt seem to have migrated that much. Which is a shame because everyone from pro players to valve use it as an official means to communicate.
What if you dont want your economy to work?
