I definitely could be happier. It really only need one person to drop out a window.

Technology@lemmy.world•The US government wants a working quantum computer by 2028 and quantum-resistant encryption by 2031English
1·2 months agoIs any of these algorithms somewhat battle tested? Otherwise there is the risk of adopting an insecure algorithm. So I guess there is some risk both ways.
Also just because I am a degenerate doesn’t mean life is hard on me. Ignorance is bliss mf

Programmer Humor@programming.dev•I finally figured out how to track window velocity, so I used user32.dll to forcefully unclick my mouse and shatter the UI as a "punishment".
5·4 months agoI saw it for the first time and find it hilarious. Am on Linux (arch btw) so not possible to run it myself unfortunately but had a laugh and am happy you shared it so many times.

8·4 months agoIdk but last time I bought something there and had to return it I had no issues whatsoever. They offer competitive prices at least for some products. Delivery was fast so far. It’s no Amazon but European alternatives are somewhat scarce.

2·5 months agoIt is also an enormous chance for Europe to establish strong ties in the middle east. Europe could profit massively from stability in the area. And obviously the same is true for the middle east. It remains to be seen whether European politicians are cunning enough to pull this of. It seems unlikely though.

World News@lemmy.world•Trailing in polls, Orban goes all-in on UkraineEnglish
23·5 months agoFortunately Hungarians are by high margin pro EU. But Orban had many years to change all sorts of policies to favour him in elections. He basically owns Hungary’s media landscape, gerrymandered election districts, suppressed visibility of opposition where possible and I don’t know what not. So even if the situation looks dire for him I am not confident that he will loose the election. One can only hope that Hungarians, with vast majority, vote for someone else than he.
Exactly.
If so then we are all in the same pot. Who is doing enough or more than that?
Please do not put Europeans in the same pot with US Americans. These days are altogether over but for the topic of fighting climate change things were different for quite a while.

Selfhosted@lemmy.world•How do I access my services from outside?English
13·6 months agoI am using wireguard for this purpose. My router supports that. It’s a very easy setup and works fine in every is case I encountered except for android car. You do not expose anything to the outside. It’s kind of like logging in to your home network.

They took to the streets when their wealth was endangered though. So there are reasons to get Americans to protest. The rest of the world simply isn’t one of them.
