Just shooting the shit here but I was watching a few videos on the decline of tourists visiting LV recently and besides the obvious fact that only the rich have any money to burn, a lot of what kept people coming to the city was cheap flights, cheap accommodations, cheap food and cheap entertainment. Subsidized by the casinos, because people would come and have a great time and be more than willing to piss their money away gambling, 'cause why not they’re having a blast! Then the gaming industry became more ‘professionalized’ and filled up with B-school grads and MBA-havers who saw all those potential profits being left on the table and used their big boy degrees to tighten things up and whoops now there’s no one coming to visit! Capitalism unable to think beyond the next quarter etc etc.

I saw the data they were pulling from would likely be making wild conflations between receiving the vaccine and any symptoms that happened after, that they might be double-counting because “Reports can be submitted by anyone and no effort is made to verify the details or prevent duplication” (lol), and they’d be cherry picking like all hell. But I did not even consider that were the worst of their anti-vaxxers claims true here, we’d still be looking at a successful intervention in terms of deaths and disease prevented.
