  • They’re lying about using AI to write software, they probably have required all their programmers to have an AI plugin installed, and are thus counting any code they make as “written by AI”, and then are counting any minor edit to existing code as the entire thing being “written by AI”.

The software is bad because it’s written to serve the infinite growth imperative. The reason they claim they’re writing code with AI is because that being true is the only hope that they have for achieving the infinite growth imperative. It’s a con, it’s a cult, they are extracting as much value as they can before everything falls apart.

  • One of the rhetorically effective things about his campaign messaging was how broad and vague it was. Pundits, podcasters, influencers, and those manipulating the algorithms of social media, took that messaging, isolated parts of it and recontextualized those parts for specific audiences.

So while he may have assumed he was being very clear about what he was going to do, the messaging many of his voters got was totally detached from his intentions.

A good example of this is people who thought that the tariffs would somehow be a tax levied on foreign countries, not a sales tax on imported goods. Or those who thought the tariffs would be targeted at specific goods categories to benefit their particular industry, not a blanket tariff that impacts their upstream supply chain.

He told his subordinate on the campaign to get voters to vote for him, he assumed that meant convince them he was right, but that was impossible, the only ones that could get him the numbers he liked were the ones who just twisted what he said till people agreed with it.

  • The first computer was the Tandy 400, used till sbmail 44. The name being a clear reference to the Tandy 1000 and maybe the Atari 400. But it has a lot of features of of an Apple 2, such as the monochrome green display, the os being kinda like proDOS, and it making some Mac OS system noises at one point.

It’s a chimera of influences, but it’s definitely from the late 70s and early 80s

So, the interior of steak being raw is fine. Due to the nature of it, it’s unlikely there will any pathogens inside of it, perhaps on the outside because it is exposed and could have been contaminated, but the interior is safe due to being… well not being exposed. Of course there are exceptions but generally it is safe so long as the exterior has been cooked to a point where any pathogens are dead.

Ground beef is another thing entirely since any contamination that was on the outside has been mixed in, and thus it should be cooked through thoroughly.

The discussion about how to cook steak has been “medium rare is the best way to cook steak” for a long time now, so I think a lot of people just assume what ever doneness they like their steak cooked to must be “medium rare”.

The image would best be described as Blue, and it’s fine to take a steak blue if that’s what you prefer.

Wow, a lot of people who struggled to fit in and feel comfortable in society are addressing a major core cause of their discomfort, shocking.

Oh you want people to go back to being uncomfortable, perpetually out of place and under tension between their personal desires and societal expectations for them, why? Because you thought it was cute? Because you wanted to see them say bazinga?

“No i just accepted them for who they were” no you accepted them falling in to a pre understood and accepted stereo type that didn’t pose any underlying challenges to your core assumptions.

I have a zero tolerance policy with notifications, if an app sends me even a single promotional or advertising notification, it looses notification privileges forever. Hell if it’s sending me notifications that are not directly related to why I have the app, even if they’re not strictly speaking advertisements. NYT’s lost notification privileges because it kept notifying me about opinion pieces and recipes.
