I don’t understand why a god would have to be all good as humans understand goodness. I’m more open to the idea that God either set things in motion and stopped caring, or is actively ambivalent and lives to cause a ruckus on occasion for his entertainment. This view allows for the existence of preventable evil.

Material Design is quite pleasant to my eyes in both light and dark mode. I don’t like Fluent Design as much. It’s too busy with the translucency.

They wouldn’t care about the hypocrisy. The Republican party generally isn’t intellectually honest, and their supporters don’t pressure them to be.

It absolutely is not morally sound, but it clearly feels right to many. We regularly justify these attacks because such people seem to deserve any and all suffering for their values and misdeeds.

It’s so stupid how one sided the media is being. Trump openly admires Hitler, blatantly tries to overthrow democracy, and gets the benefit of doubt or not even any coverage at all by most major outlets. Biden calls somebody garbage and it gets treated as a serious scandal.

He just like daddy Trump for real. But it doesn’t work the same when he somehow becomes vulnerable to the consequences of his actions.

It looks like we’ve both blown our loads and run out of steam. I’m disengaging before this thread turns into something that will embarrass my future self.

I’m not really interested in changing that individual’s mind. That was more for the viewers. I did not like the vibes they were spreading.

Where are you getting the premise that I enthusiastically condone Harris’s stance on Israel? I was careful to not leave any reason for that misinterpretation of my reply. I think you are intentionally mischararcterizing me as a genocide supporter. I only insist that the most sensible action now is to vote for the best overall candidate even if you can’t condone this particular position of theirs.

You have to be realistic. There are two sets of policies you can vote for. You are not allowed to mix and match. You must choose one set. Just cool your ego and choose the better set. It’s that simple. You may not like all of Harris’s policies, but it would be far more foolish to abstain.

This is the kind of person who gets caught while people like Trump never get punished for instigating the mob.
