So, I’m just checking…
- It is not open source?
- It uses AI to “Fact-Check”?
- It costs 20$ to join, and possibly more later?
Well, they have chosen interesting path those people behind this thing.
A bit stupid at times but I don’t mean any harm.

That graveyard’s gonna need to build some drainage or there’ll be floods…

“Bu-but you can download it be-before hand and play it once the clock show the right time!!”

Well, sounds a bit like UK and their make-Brits-again group’s problem lol
That Unhook sounded interesting, so I turned off my current YouTube add-on (“Hide shorts for Youtube™”) and uhhh, the Unhook literally did nothing but arranged some things around lol. Not for me, the shorts and all were still there. But cool idea I guess.
I don’t know if I’m using YouTube the right or the wrong way, but no, not seeing or watching any AI content. I watch like 5-7 channels, I only use the “subscriptions” page. I might watch a recommended video, but those are usually the old videos from the channels I have subscribed to. I have uBlock and another extension that blocks shorts. Maybe it is a shitfest, but I’m not witnessing it. There are plenty of decision we all make.

I have been sober for almost 3 years, not a drop. While on a vacation recently, I had one sip of local alcohol drink just to see how it tastes, not thinking that amount would do anything… Boy, my head almost exploded. I was able to not drink more, but damn I did want to. Tasted amazing, felt so, so, so good. Wanted to drink more and go running, dancing, jumping… And I quite like hungovers, miss them really too.
Interesting! I’m beginner with Linux and haven’t really touched or looked into Protons and Vines and those things, but very interesting! On Win10 or Win11 it’s not great at all, but Win7 was still alright… Even when that PC obviously had less of everything.
I got a XP PC for playing Sims 2 and 3, especially 3 is such a mess that it don’t really work on anything else, even if it kinda runs… Also some Lego games and such I used to play as a kid. Well, anything XP era runs, obviously. Just stick/disc it in.
Now I have been cleaning my PS3 (stolen from an ex, added in a bigger SSD) and buying some used games on it from trift stores, for about 2-3€ a piece… Looking forward for playing that new (for me) GTA! (IV) We also have like… two PS1s and at least two PS2s. I also still have my PS4, but gonna sell that once I get around. I need money for my offline Linux PC project… Chose a case that requires a single-slot GPU, send prayers and so on.

Probably has a few same videos that still get shown everywhere?
I often walk or cycle past a school and a daycare, and here they have recently “upgraded roads” which means that they have scraped away a few pedestrian crossings. I 100% do shitty tricks to cars driving too fast or not giving enough space, especially if I am moving around the time kids are active. (Around here kids are still allowed to walk/cycle from school and often play around the town.)
I have made air kicks, always do when necessary, but sadly so far they have missed…
3 chamber pots maybe? One for pee, other for poo, third for uhhhh

As I said back in summer, the fee should be 30€ if not more. Yeah, there are times when these Chinese shitstores are the only option, for example when needing a new motherboard to some old tech to fix or mod it, I know this because my partner builds and mods stuff like MP3-players. Fun hobby, and no, the price would still be okay for specialty items like this.
But no, we don’t need poisonous plastic clothes, or poisonous kitchen gadgets or kiddie toys filled with asbestos. These are all big enough reason to meddle in with the stores.

Maybe, that sounds good imo. But those adapters break easily, so either it should be very good adapter or easily swapped design.

One good-ish reason is that In A Certain country the Bluetooth connections are monitored by Flock cameras and all, so you will be identified if you have Bluetooth headphones on in a public place. And that’s likely to spread other places too eventually…

I wish libraries were still quiet… Around here it’s normal for them to let kids do kids stuff, like screaming and running around. Apparently it’s harmful and unwelcoming if there are rules, the kids won’t ever start reading books if they’re required to even try to be quiet while in that building.
Also my library hosts live band nights, music is art and all, and I wouldn’t really mind but as I don’t use social media I don’t really get info on when to avoid going there… Twice I have had to listen some lady whine through her nose while some bloke abuses an acoustic quitar while I’m just trying to get a few books from the self-service counter where a bunch of people are standing and listening without moving away even when asked politely, instead of doing that like a METRE TO LEFT THERE IS PLENTY OF SPACE. Sorry for the rant, but man I like the library and just want to exchange old books for new ones.
// Edited to rant a bit more but they literally even let the local crazy person (not me, I don’t have a dog anymore) bring their dirty and very untrained dog inside. It will yap and run around and jump on people… There just are no rules anymore. Free for all.

It is huge, as all are these days. If I wanted a tablet, I’d buy one. I’m seriously at the point where I’ll soon get rid off my smartphone and stick with only a dumb phone and PC. (And once they get through with the ID laws, the PC might lose it’s internet priviledges as well…) I just want a small phone??
Sending you greetings (and a welcome) from another old laptop tha has been given new life through Mint! Mine is more of a Win7 piece, even if it was quite strong at the time… Now it’s scary fast, and working well!

Just had to deal a few things with my local municipality offices and my email not being a Gmail was a big, big issue and cause of long wondering. If we (we and we, normal peeps outside of Lemmy and all) don’t even know what is a non-Google email, or why someone would use one, or the basics of Open Source, no, they won’t know about operating systems either. Maybe that could make the change easier, but it won’t make people understand why we’d need to make the change. Linux what?
Same here, it turned out family and friends wanted to stay in touch! Not a real surprise, but for some reason I kept overthinking and delaying the process… Once I just asked, all was done within like 20 mins. People made their accounts, I made the groups.
