the pro-worker movement has been quite vocal for a long time on many different issues but the business organizations have been pushing the narrative that more rights for worker will damage the economy, which governments have been supporting.

when amlo won, many pro-worker activists got more vocal and some were able to get closer to the government, making some good material changes (increase the minimum salary, having 12 days of vacation per year, having a fucking chair in your workplace) but amlo was very clear that 40 h/week kill not happen during his term. due to this, the movement got way more intense, even getting violent towards the government to increase the pressure.

sheimbaum said that it was confirmed to happen during her term but she has been stalling the discussion while “discussing with the corporations” since then. it looks like the pressure finally made effect.

i am not very close to these events so i might have gotten something wrong or misrepressented something but tldr this was a workers won despite the government, not thanks to it.

containers get bad rep because docker and all the mess it causes, but every process, or at least most, in the system should use containers in one way or another. it’s a shame this is nowhere close to normalized and doing it is messy

pretty much every pressident since 1992 has made statements about supporting indigenous people in one way or another just to backstab them with worse reactions. AMLO was specially bad since he did use them as political platform and then continue the common opression every other pressident had done.

Claudia has said many things that sound good in theory but my trust in politicians has complately run dry. this reminds me of the san andres accords, which looked really good but the government decided to betray them bad

wow, is this real? like, what type of social media is it that you can block your own follows without even telling you explicitly. I get the idea of wanting to get automatic block of specific stuff (even if I don’t agree) but having blocklists take precedence over something you actively opted in for makes no sense at all
