Then encoded in the metadata is a map of brightness.
If your website/app/phone doesn’t support it, the metadata just sits there with info about the lens, shutter speed etc.
If it does support it, the JPEG is automatically processed with the metadata to increase brightness in the original jpeg.
Is it a downside? Just dont use it

Yep. I had a pixel 5. I got sucked in and bought a pixel 6 pro. It’s literally the same apart from the zoom looks better and the phone is bigger.
I did have modem issues with the 6Pro so I got the 7 Pro and the phone is the same apart from the odd change.
So for me going from a Pixel 5, I gained pretty much nothing, man I miss that phone.
Yeah it’s not abnormal at all, just a bit more than other phones i’ve had. And heat is just wasted energy. Overall love the phone

You should though. I have a Pixel 7 Pro. I’ve seen all the reviews/tests showing how bad of a chip it is. But in day to day use it’s fast snappy and pretty good.
it does however warm the device a lot and warmth = battery loss.
Tensor G1 and G2 would probably be absolutely fine if fabbed on TSMC.

What happens to my films?
I tried for months to use my tab S8+ as a laptop replacement. Ultimately sold it to get a Windows laptop. So much is possible with stupid hoops to jump through.
Yes they are, but you’re still using and logging into the google owned platform which isn’t.
Newpipe or libretube are completely independent of logging into youtube to maintain a subscription list for example.

I’ve been using Markor + obsidian for quicknotes.
I created a quicknote.md in obsidian and point markor too it. This allows me to very quickly open that note in Markor, copy and paste from apps directly into that file. Then later I can decide to flesh them out in obsidian.
I’ve been using one note at work and it’s actually pretty good and allows easy cross compatible sharing with colleagues.
This might be my final straw for getting rid completely. I’m not installing the normal messenger app
