I’d say it was TV that gave you the PTSD. I bailed on TV at about 8 years old (28 years ago…) and every time I’ve been with people watching it since I was always amazed just how awful it all really was. But I guess it’s just what becomes normal if you grow up with it

TNG S5E2 is the legendary episode from this post. You have so many gems in your journey like S2E9 etc etc. You are in an envious position of experiencing the franchise for the first time, just make sure you start out with TNG, DS9(slow start but great), and Voy (a bit mid but with some great episodes) & I always thought enterprise was good.
Post that lot though… The newer films can be a fun cinematic experience I guess, but the series are mostly trash. SNW had some moments, Discovery had a few, but really MEH.
Oh also TNG S1 was fairly rough but improves so much as it ran. Still had its share of duds but the highs of the high points were some of the best TV of the genre at the time.

I’m about to be installing my 3rd usb c on my fairphone because using my earphones all day phone in pocket kills the port. I’ve used devices like this mostly daily since mini discs came out, only ever broken one 3.5mm in that time.
If I didn’t have a fairphone I’d have to go back to wireless iem over crappy Bluetooth that last about 12-18 months.
I’m sure I’ve seen something like this, like a Bluetooth noise box, powered by batteries…
As someone who always goes s&v I actually agree, however I have a couple s&v brands I really like, and have only been disappointed by prawn cocktail over the last decade. It used to be the best, but most crisp flavours have been getting more mild and losing their character and I think prawn cocktail has suffered this the most.
I guess when you consider global pop and how many overall die from violence then it makes the number look quite small.
However I think due to the nature of these deaths, committed by a person in the victims life who should be at best a source of protection and safety, it’s pretty fucking grim to consider.

This is usually pretty consistent. I’m well into my 30s and it was the same when I left school, some left on a mission so do something with their lives, others left preaching doom and hopelessness. Regardless of the luck of their upbringing, of those I still know of, the doomsayers are mostly depressed bums and the others are all doing stuff and have purpose.
