Those committee seats are like the papcy. You can only be even remotely considered if you’ve already got two feet in the grave.

Depending on where you are a light beer means different things. For example the US and Canada it means low calorie, in Germany it means low alcohol (but not alcohol free).
Session ales are also typically in the 3% range.
If the goal of this wasn’t oppression and ultimately eugenics it could make for a useful policy (in a better world where we actually take care of each other).
Neurodivergent people, IIRC especially autistic people are much more likely to identify as LGBTQ. And while research, education, and communication about neurodivergence are getting better, a lot of people fall through the cracks and are incorrectly diagnosed or not diagnosed at all.
When was it not fascist
That’s the conclusion I’ve come to as well. The difference between neoliberalism and fascism is the marketing and the “vibes.”
I mean, just look at where the theoretical basis of both systems comes from, namely Hayek and the Austrian school.
Are they even different techniques? Maybe the primary difference is just the speed at which public property is privatized and state institutions captured by capitalists, with the destruction of labour rights proceeding in parallel.
I might argue that neoliberalism also creates out groups, such as low wage workers and the unemployed, but then again all flavours of liberalism do that.
As is typical with capitalists, their greed comes first. They have securitized and derivated student debt much like mortgage debt in the 2000s. I’m sure there’s a way to roll all that back (besides a 2008 type crash) but not without massive costs and losses.
“I like beer” energy.
The tariffs will be passed on to consumers, likely with a markup, and people will buy less and less as prices increase even further out of affordability. Obviously US manufacturing isn’t coming back, but that doesn’t mean imports will continue at historic levels.
Of course parallel to this, economic alliances like the BRICS are trying out dedollarized trade paradigms, and many countries are selling off their reserves of USD.
That’s part of why China has been so focused on developing internal demand for the goods they can produce.
Of course the occupied nations still recieve a lot of dollars via the occupation itself, but yes these tariffs will contribute to the overall trend dedollarization.
A global sovereign debt crisis due to US monetary policy is not unprecedented, and having a single global reserve currency has only been a very short blip in the history of civilization.
It’s not nothing though. What happens when occupied Korea (or any country) needs more USD that it’s not getting due to reduced exports to the US?
So all the “human rights” NGOs which are just State Department/CIA/NED fronts are going to close, right?
I have no idea. Even threats are illegal in Canada.
Canada has delayed expanding the euthanasia program to people with mental illness until they can come up with a satisfactory definition for mental illness. It should happen in about two years. At that point I imagine applications will skyrocket, because mental health care in Canada is basically non existent.
Until then, you can apply if you’re terminally ill, chronically suffering, or just poor. In fact poor people suffering from disability are often pushed into applying.
Currently, someone can request MAID if their death is “reasonably foreseeable” under what’s known as Track 1, or if they suffer from a “grievous and irremediable condition,” Track 2.
in cases of “unique and special threats to national security.”
Oh, so all the time then.
I don’t think kids should pay taxes or have jobs. Some kids aren’t interested in baseball or poetry. Some aren’t ready to date, others don’t want to. Some need assistance with everyday things. Let kids be kids.
In all seriousness though, this is the same kind of rhetoric which lead the Nazis to categorizing neurodivergent people as Untermenschen and killing us.
Bahamas coup/annexation when
Yeah NYC just rolled out garbage bins like a year ago and pretended like it’s some new invention.
That’s just how US people are raised.
I had a great attention span in high school. Played Minecraft for hours in class on my school issued laptop.
