Though it’s worth noting that, currently, you need to relaunch WhatsApp on a device every few weeks.
I thought this would be my key to being able to uninstall WhatsApp, but it’s not quite.
Also, people have an annoying habit of calling me via WhatsApp, which currently has no implementation in Beeper. This results in a hasty launch of WhatsApp, which then has to catch up with all the messages sent since the last launch, and I’ll inevitably miss the call.
Just as I was saying to myself “I’m pretty happy with the Garmin I have, I don’t need a new Pebble,” here come Pebble’s marketing department with a reason!
… What do you mean this is an announcement from Garmin?
I think in the UK at least this view might be a little outdated - every house I’ve ever lived in has had GFCI sectors across the house, or had to be updated to have it when work was done.
Can you imagine having to explain that, though?
It’s very commonly used in, e.g., electronics.
Ah, interesting - I meant against the storm, but I don’t think I’ve scaled the text! That might be my issue. Thank you!
How do you deal with the janky text? I found it hard to learn the game with it all so aliased.
I think they mean the voters you mention may well be different people to the people talking to the news or whatever about how they’re welcomed, beloved, etc.
One loud voice isn’t representation of the entire district, etc.
Just found this post, seems likely to be the same thing: https://lemmy.world/post/21602581
Do you mean windy.app, windy.com, or another?
I read that as “Armstrong claimed [every event they speak at is about] autism awareness because [they are] an education advocate”. Personally, I can’t see how that makes a lick of sense.
They also claim they spoke about autism “at one point”, but to be real, this appears to have been them lying about what it was to get the space and then it being a campaign event.
Do “autism awareness” events need Trump signs?
It’s also worth noting that you seem to have read the (rubbish, LLM based?) summary and not the article, which lays this all out more clearly:
Sfida told the Inquirer it was a local Republican operative, Sheila Armstrong, who contacted him to schedule the event, which she did on behalf of her nonprofit organization, Cooking4Autism, without mentioning McCormick’s campaign.
Armstrong is a member of the anti-LGBT group Moms for Liberty, which campaigns against school curricula that discusses LGBT rights or race and which the civil rights group Southern Poverty Law Center has classified as a far-right extremist group.
She was a paid staffer for the failed campaign of Republican Mehmet Oz — who lost to U.S. Sen. John Fetterman (D., Pa.) in 2022— but appears to have no official affiliation role on McCormick’s team, the Inquirer reported. She told the newspaper she offered to be a liaison for the GOP candidate in Philadelphia.
Pressed by the newspaper about whether the campaign stop was an autism awareness event, Armstrong claimed “it’s always autism awareness because I’m an education advocate” and said she spoke to those gathered about autism at one point.
if Ryujinx wanted to avoid this outcome, they should have done things differently
How do you not read this as blame? Or, is this not the same as “they had it coming, wouldn’t have happened if they’d been dressed in armour or hadn’t gone down that street alone” which is often known as victim blaming.
Oh, there’s a wiki article on that. It has a section on the thing you’re arguing about, with cars and pedestrians Neat. Maybe this is why people are talking about it.
How about two drinks, plus a free drink from the airline you’re flying per half hour delayed? Seems more reasonable.
The only sad thing is that it seems like they’re (still?) only talking about the other side’s policy, rather than backing their own policy based on its strength.
Just “I’m not the other side” (but at least with policy rather than personality)
For what it’s worth, as it’s not clear if you’re already aware, but Al Franken was actually a pretty decent senator for ~9 years.
Jon has stuck his oar into political matters, but not at that level.
Online mode seems closer to the worst, with a screen to kick you back to the main menu.
Once back at the main menu, due to the way all travel resets areas, you’re likely to have lost progress since the last gate. You’ll retain items and XP, but lose map reveal and have to run through the areas again.
Thanks! Some fun bits!
What sort of control tuning have you done?
For what it’s worth, I subscribe to the “use your TV as a screen, plug another device in to deal with content” method. It’s not connected to the network.
So, whatever my TV wants to do, I’m not using it’s janky apps that might get slow over time or try to advertise to me - my Nvidia shield (which is on the ropes/way out due to some updates it pushed) CEC wakes the TV and plays content without having any particular insight into my emotional state. But I can replace that relatively easily/cheaply until my screen literally stops working, rather than if some new service isn’t supported on it or an old one is deprecated.
I’m being tempted to replace the shield with a NUC or other device due to the updates I mentioned above - but I can probably replace the launcher more easily.
