I don’t use the fediverse much, but happened to stumble over that post. As someone with an eating disorder I wanted to comment, but when I saw the other comments I was unfortunately reminded why I don’t use this place much.

I don’t actually know if it’s normal here in Denmark, but in my school the students had to clean most (but not all) of it. Everyone, including people from that school, still litter everywhere.

Even without VPN, IP-based location has always shown me in all sorts of random places, sometimes even in the opposite end of my country. Guess it’s an ISP thing.

Yeah, this is just a TDC/YouSee thing, not a Denmark thing.

??? I can access it from Denmark though. Without a VPN.
Ace people can actually still have a strong libido! It’s more about sexual attraction.
Of course, others are straight up repulsed by even the thought of sex. It’s a wide spectrum.

Sadly, that’s the point of dog whistling, to have some doubt to whether it was actually innocent.
With how prevalent dog whistles are in neo-Nazism, it’s not surprising that people are sceptical. It’s a whole thing to send “subtle” Nazi symbology and then deny everything when called out.
You’re not wrong!
I can’t even imagine what it costs for a big, international company to handle the fallout from a system that’s implemented wrong due to errors in the translation of the contract.
It’s already happening. I know someone who is a translator of legal documents and international contracts, and almost all the jobs are gone and replaced with AI already.

I have a freestanding toilet. And if I back into another disabled person accidentally we well be circled by smartphone-wielding internet saints. I can’t answer the other questions – I can feel someone watching over my shoulder…

I’m sure I’m not the only paranoid and disabled person who appreciates this sentiment. :)
As someone still dealing with the tail-end of an eating disorder, no. And it doesn’t matter what people tell me, compliments just fall flat. I haven’t felt good enough since I was in my teens.
It’s not even because other people judge me. At least, I don’t think they do. They actually were mostly worried about me when I was underweight. But I still judge me, and it will never be enough is how I feel. I suppose somehow I built up too high expectations for myself.
