I would have suggested Farnell but apparently they got bought out by an American company in 2016.

Garmin watches come close?
These really annoy me. I used to spend a lot of time in Sweden so I tried pretty hard to get an account set up to let me pay by swish. I gave up. If you’re not a resident you can’t get a person number so you can’t get a bank ID so you can’t use swish.
What is frustrating is that lots of places I went required swish and wouldn’t take cash or card, so I ended up having to get other people to pay for me.
I bet many other systems in other countries are similar
It is my understanding that Apple actually wanted to use 3.5mm jacks for their ADB keyboard/mouse interface in the early days, and some prototypes exist which used the jacks.

The plug manufacturers couldn’t guarantee that you wouldn’t sometimes get high resistance issues if the plugs were left connected all the time. On a pair of headphones you’d hear that as static and turn the plug or unplug/insert to get it going again. But you can’t “hear” through a keyboard.
They used mini DIN 4 instead.
I can’t stand voice assistants. I have ZigBee switches all over the house for lights, or I control things directly from my phone. Works really well for me!
StopTheMadness on iOS allows redirects (and I’m sure other extensions do too) but it doesn’t actually take you to that page; it just directs back to the regular homepage.
Using the website (with an ad blocker) is marginally better than the app already. I hated the app in the past as I was convinced it was draining my battery unnecessarily…and it turns out that was a deliberate social experiment which filled me with rage.
Event listings is why I still use it, though. Friends, gigs, etc. I’ve tried to get friends to use Partiful instead at least but that doesn’t work well enough, and even that has issues.
Well yeah, it has inferior potassium.
I have a Uniquiti G4 Doorbell Pro and a standard mechanical bell (I’m in Europe so it’s a Honeywell chime and the transformer came with the doorbell)
Integration with HA is good, but it does need some sort of Ubiquiti NVR at the very least to operate. I have a Dream Router as my main router so that functions as both. If you aren’t already using Ubiquiti gear this can get expensive quickly.
But the equipment is (in my experience, I know others have variable opinions, especially with software updates) very positive.
I do this and it’s pretty reliable
Not forcing things is generally pretty good life advice. It’s like a fart: if you have to force it it’s probably shit.
No, Mother, it’s just the Northern Lights
Not sure what PoF is like these days but last I heard (a few years ago to be fair) they would ban you if you said you were polyamorous and point you towards Ashley Madison, since they were a little bit too religious to even be nice about it.
Good! “Tribe mindset” is honestly not a great thing and rewards people for “towing the line” rather than actually expressing their views and having real conversations.
I know that this question is quite old now, but I recent read the new Multiamory book and felt that has some excellent guidance and ideas in it. I’ve listened to the podcast for some time so that makes sense :)
The other one which is particularly good for me as an anxious person is The Anxious Person’s Guide to Non-Monogamy
