I understood about this earlier with the defederation of hexbear instance. So I moved to another. Preemptive defederation is something I don’t support. It should be the last resort.

Not an issue here. Can open how many hotspots we want as much as the phone support.

The only thing I didn’t like about connect was for image loading. When I click on an image it is blurry and comes to clarity. Loading is an issue. I don’t know if there is any settings for it inside the app. Whereas in sync it loads perfectly fine for me.

I am using a private dns ad blocker. android phones have the option to change the dns server, I changed it to dns.adguard.com

I moved to lemme.ee. i find the rules and regulations and reason for defederation in lemmy.world is so insane. and performance was also not good on lemmy.world. many users have made accounts on the server. Lemme.ee is fast and didn’t have any downtime till now.

For me the majority of my usage will go nicely with firefox. None of the streaming apps or services I use require DRM, because they are piracy sites. I don’t give a damn about pirating. Only if it is implemented then some banking services I use or food delivery service gonna use this. Which I don’t mind using chrome for. All others will be done through firefox. We can’t do anything against all these. So find some loop holes in the coming times to make it in our favor.

Tried all the apps and none of them is polished and smoother as sync. If tracking is the issue then one time purchase disables everything. The sdk isn’t even loaded after the purchase. One time purchase is available. For people who want to support they can use the subscription service. For those people who want foss free apps, then another set of apps are available.

One time payment is there. Someone confirmed that there is no connection to Google after paying the one time payment.

Sync is a perfectly fine app for me. I tried all other apps and nowhere near to sync. I don’t even have ads on the free version as I am using dns ad blocker. The moment one time payment for removing ads is out(it is coming), I will buy it. Or I will donate to dev in some other way as I am not a fan of subscriptions.
