If you believe in democracy, yes.
If you believe in democracy, yes.
English probably. 😁

I too once held to that ideal, but after typing almost exclusively on Model M keyboards for 40+hrs a week (Unix Sysadmin + gamer ) for 30+yrs I started to feel some strain in my fingers and hands.
About a year ago I switched to the SS Apex Pro with adjustable magnetic switches and I’ve been pretty happy with it so far. Yeah the software is kind of stupid but the actuation points can be adjusted and saved into several different profiles from the keyboard without the software, so I’ve been pretty happy with it so far.
Since Trump is obviously willing to do just about anything to avoid paying for his crimes, I wonder if there comes a point where it makes sense for Biden or Harris to just offer him a pardon (knowing it only covers federal crimes) if he’ll just drop out of the race.
Is it stupid and sad? Yes, yes it is. But I’d rather Trump get pardoned for some of his crimes than somehow get elected president again. I’d say that’s a small price to pay.
Trying to, but every time we do the right loses their damned minds.
I love how people like you take “It’s about damned time we have a woman (or black, circa 2008) president after centuries of not treating them equally” and somehow interpret that as “We’re trying to keep the white male down”.
Yeah pretty much. I mean I do the best I can (and I do have resources to look to for help).
Not only is “Googling” one of my most important job skills, now that I’m doing professional services, my entire job basically consist of “Learn product ${FOO} faster than the customer’s employees can.” Which of course primarily consists of knowing what to search for, how to find it, and how to interpret and use what I find.
Both are true. And they want the data privatized so only they can profit from it.
(And for the record, it’s sad that voters are holding Biden to a much higher standard than Trump. But here we are.)
Except that’s been the whole point of this exercise from day one!
The voters on the right have proven that they have NO standards that a candidate needs to live up to, while the voters on the left are the ones who are screaming “we need to have high standards for the people who are going to run the country”
Until recently, while the left would have preferred an even better candidate, Biden at least just barely fell above the seemingly minimum bar, especially when compared against Trump. But now Biden seems to have fallen right to the cusp of where the voters who still have standards are wondering if he’s fallen below them, and if there’s might be a better option, both from the standpoint of meeting their standards, and the standpoint of actually being able to win against Trump, who MUST lose for our nation to avoid disaster.
But would it have it have remained left alone long enough to get to the point where the federation and prime directive protected it…
Well again, I’m only using /24 chunks of it.
The main reason I went with it is that it’s far faster for me to type “10.0.x.x” than to type “192.168.x.x”, especially on the keypad.
I use 10.x.x.x addresses at home, though split into /24 networks in each vlan.
I have the same issue (TRIPLE NAT’d! One of which is the CGNAT). Unfortunately I have external family that accesses from media boxes/TVs so those won’t work for me.
Thankfully I was able to get a small VPS server for $2/mo and set up some reverse tunnels with auto-ssh. Seems to be working fairly well so far.
All that said, I longingly look forward to the future when I don’t have to worry about NAT.
There’s a phrase you might give useful/insightful.
“Trust, but verify”
I use auto pay extensively so that if I forget (ADHD, yay) it still gets paid. But I do (try to) check every month that all the auto pay stuff did trigger properly.
The only stuff, that’s popular, that I have no opinion on is Babylon 5, mainly because I have not watched any of it
I highly recommend you watch it. Just keep in mind the first season (esp the first half) is tough, some bad dialog and acting. But it has important character and setting development.
The end of season 1 things get better, and by the first few episodes of season 2 you’ll be hooked.
At the end of the day, I bet you’ll acknowledge that B5 has BOTH some of the worst writing/acting you’ll see in a TV show, AND some of the best writing/acting you’ll ever see anywhere.
I’m almost 50 and recently learned I’ve been pronouncing two words wrong.
“Template” as ‘tem’ + ‘plate’ (like a dish) instead of ‘tem’ + ‘plet’ (like ‘let’)
“Opacity” saying the middle ‘a’ like ‘hay’ instead of like ‘math’.
That one I was SURE I was right when my wife told me, so I asked my Google home mini: “Hey Google, how do you pronounce the word ‘opacity’?” (Pronouncing it my way), and to prove that Google has a mean sense of humor, (and I swear this is true) responded with “Guacamole”. My wife has not let me live that down.
Only for primaries I believe. There’s nothing stopping you from voting for the Republican primary then voting for Biden in November, or vice-versa.
the least terrible Republican that isn’t trump for this primary election.
And who might that be? While Trump is by far the worst, none of the others seem significantly better than each other.
Plus everyone, but Haley and Trump have dropped out.
You rang?
