  • It’s wrong anyway because the temperatures are high for the current time of year. Even the winter temps.

So with the northern hemisphere that means that they are higher than they’ve ever been before in the Southern hemisphere it just means they’re higher the winter then they’ve ever been before but they’re still high.

So it’s a confusing and non relevant distinction.

  • Setting things up on fediverse is overly complicated and could be made easier.

The biggest problem is it really isn’t all that clear what the pros and cons are various instances are, and the truth is that for the most part with the exception of a few particular instances it really doesn’t matter.

What might make the most sense is to have a website people can sign up on and then it just registers their account on one of a few instances to spread the load. Obviously that list I would have to be curated so it didn’t include obvious problematic instances, but it wouldn’t be that hard to do that. And that would make it as easy as threads is which basically is just an instance when all said and done.

  • It depends on vehicle emissions.

Bagels which put out more carbon dioxide get taxed more heavily. This has always been the case but it’s how it’s always been worked out as long as I’ve been driving. I’m not sure how it worked historically.

My car is a diesel. So it’s output is worse (greater) than a petrol car.

My yearly tax is, paying monthly, £180 per year. My yearly tax is, paying yearly, £170 per year.

Not much for my car, but then again it’s a boring ass people carrier with suspect electronics, because I’m 180,000 years old.
