Use this time to marginalize conservative influence in any way you can. Obstruct every single thing they attempt to do. Keep attacking and never stop. Drive them into the margins of society where they belong. Do not give them a single inch (or centimeter, if you will.)

What is happening in the US should serve as a cautionary tale of what happens when the disease that is conservative culture goes unchecked. You have the advantage. Go on the attack and don’t stop until they stay down.

Any democratic candidate preaching “forgiveness and healing” needs to be primaried. We need representatives who are willing to absolutely curb-stomp the fuck out a party that is effectively an occupying enemy force.

These are not people to “reach out” to. They are enemies to overcome.

What in the actual fuck did they think was going to happen? He spent his entire campaign specifically saying he was going to do this.

Any democratic candidate preaching that we need to “reach out” to these people can fuck off and die.

Every level of government staffed by conservatives is compromised. They will only yield when they are met with direct force.

If they offered a viable alternative, this wouldn’t be necessary.

It’s almost like everything all the time always gets worse under any type of far right governance.

And yet people keep falling for it.

Use the tools that will work in the world we have. Not the world we wish we had.

This is the lesson that the political left needs to learn. Relying on our “better nature” is not an effective strategy. People remain vulnerable, now more than ever, to the tactics of propaganda. If we want to create a better future, we need to accept that we need to wield those tactics better than our enemies.

If we want a fair and just society, the idea needs to be sold to the populace. Collectively, we cannot be trusted to independently choose a better future for ourselves.
