In no home outside of fringe uses are any lights 12vdc, with the exception of maybe led strip lights for undercabs. They’re all designed for 120vac. That lightbulb in the diagram is an e37/medium base for 120vac.

You’re talking out of your ass. Trans folk, and gender reassignment, have been a thing for decades. It’s only recently become a social topic in the wider push for inclusive LGQT+ rights and has been gained mainstream attention, which has conservative undies in a twist. It just used to be that trans people kept themselves to themselves out of fear of social rejection, which is what the wider push has been about.
Uh, that varies wildly state to state and person to person here in the US. California even has division among acceptance, there are significant portions of people on LA and SF who’d love to see all these things repealed. Social media is a helluva drug.
Electrician here as well, running a shop comes with its own set of shenanigans that I sometimes daydream about just working for someone. But then I remember the flexibility I have that wouldn’t be a thing otherwise.
My guy and I do 4 10s when we have the workload, and yeah, same deal. 3 day weekends are rad, but like hell if I have energy for anything after work on those other 4 days.
Some days I miss being a one-man show and being able to work just enough jobs to keep my bills paid and food on the table, but I wouldn’t be able to take on the more fun jobs by myself.
What’s this about 4chan imploding?
Apparently, because that miniscule amount of wee that might get on the inside of one’s shorts is that nastiest, worse than the poo particles that get trapped in the same region when someone farts.
Yup, I never tied my hair back growing up. Now that on my last hurrah with it as it’s falling out, I tend to tie it back more often than not when I’m working.
The food so nice, they named it twice. I friggin love couscous.
Um, that’s why guys shake it a bit before stowing it, hence the “if you shake it more than three times you’re playing with it.” I can honestly say I don’t dribble all over my undies cause I make sure it’s empty, kinda like a fuel pump nozzle. And any guy with half a brainstem has figured out how to find the right angle to not back spray themselves (hint: most urinal manufacturers put a small graphic low in the bowl as a kind of target to minimize back spray, knowing guys like to aim their stream at things).
Good luck getting guys to sit on the toilet to pee. Aside from it being a faux pas for whatever stupid reason, it’s generally a waste of time when we can walk up to either a urinal or toilet, unzip and whiz, zip up, wash, and go. Most guys have managed to make it an efficient and clean process for a very long time and that isn’t going to change anytime soon. Sorry, but this is pretty silly.
Why exactly are wall potties disgusting? If anything it helps prevent lazy douchebags from pissing all over the toilet seats.
Not necessarily, but in my experience with my friends’ kids, the ones that are the most maladjusted are the ones with their faces buried in their phones all the time, and these are the same kids that were raised on iPads and YouTube all day. It’s one thing to have an hour or two of screen time in a day, but the parents that don’t limit it have the kids with the most behavioral problems.
Indeed, I think the entire idea that needs focus is distributing away from a handful of large corps, although I don’t see streaming going in that direction largely due to IP rights for content, not necessarily bandwidth and resources. Many streaming platforms as I understand already have their content distributed through CDNs that are geographically dispersed as to ease network load, though they retain control over that hardware. I’m proposing providing more options for your average joe website than on something controlled by the likes of Amazon and Microsoft.
Quad or so, just make sure you tie a rope from the couch around your waist so you can find your way back.
Behavioral issues start at home.
Schools now lose funding when kids don’t pass, so admins press teachers to move them along.
Lineage as well, mine reboots at 4am every day
Yeah but the masses now think he’s at some all inclusive resort, and that’s how this gets blown to the wind.
Valid points. Also too, the cost associated with a business class data plan that actually allows hosting. If you think about it, it really is an arbitrary restriction put in place by ISPs to goad those who want to leverage the internet’s potential into more expensive plans.
