There is this saying “gender is a spectrum”. I know firsthand how important the proper label can be, at the same time gender is something like a lifelong performance act - and it’s fine if you’re not sure right now what the proper label might be.

For me it sounds like you are on your own journey for a while now and you will figure it out by your own soon. Often family members shape our perspective of gender but as we leave family, make new friends and learn new things we can break free of the childhood stereotypes and find very own gender expression and/or label somewhere along the road.

I wish for you to meet lots of new trans, enby and genderfluid people this summer, so you can figure it out <3

Watched Project Hail Mary as well - didn’t read the book before and knew nothing about the plot beforehand - I was astonished, haven’t seen such a good movie in a long time! I really enjoyed the almost 3h without once grabbing my phone, this is something lol

I’m confused. Is this thing flying nearby supposed to be cool or smt? Seeing a rotating jet appear low in the sky over a public crowd wouldn’t make me think “oh this is is so cool”, I’m pretty sure I would think of war, terror or smt like that and panic :/

I watched this two days ago on the end of a really frustrating day. The whole plot I was like “🙄how predictable🙄” but in the end I still cried an emotional happy tear or two

I like to read the reviews in Letterboxd now but as a teen and young adult I’ve read all the magazine movie critic bits I could get.

Is it important? Not for me personally.

Is is entertaining? Yes!

there’s a movie by and with Elliot Page that has the exact scenario of a trans man visiting his family as main plot ^^

there is also “Pride” - which shows queer characters from ehrm, 70ties? and shows iirc working class people forming the very first pride in their working class town

both movies show emotions and queer issues as part of the main plot but have a storyline to follow that is - in theory - part of almost every humans lifetime experiences (coming home as a changed person/trying to change society)
