“I know not everyone’s feeling enthusiasm. The other day a defeated man … came up to me and said, Mr. President I’m being crushed by debt, I’m completely wiped out,” Biden said. “I had to say, ‘I’m sorry Donald, I can’t help you.’”

This is pretty funny too. I hope Biden keeps saying stuff like this lol
I’m also going to point out that we (US) spend more per person on healthcare than most other countries. There doesn’t need to be a cut to the military to give everyone healthcare, since universal healthcare would probably cost less money
The people making the deliveries still need to have a way to deliver your groceries to you + not everyone has the money to pay someone to deliver all their groceries. Wfh is great, but it does not mean the transportation system doesn’t need to be reformed, since not every job can be done from home, and people usually have other places to go besides work and grocery stores.
I mean, you still need to leave the house for groceries and other stuff
Minimum parking requirements in cities need to be abolished
Didn’t one of the Honda CRVs come with a picnic table? They should bring that back
Try microwaving some potatoes. They’re a pretty regular snack for me since it’s some of the lowest effort “cooking” you can do.
Plus, it’s kinda our fault that they’re everywhere, since city pigeons are actually dometic animals that have gone feral
lemm.ee isn’t even that small. It’s the 6th largest active lemmy instance iirc
On mobile I have my default browser set to Firefox Focus, which blocks trackers and automatically deletes browsing data when you close the app.
Lol, it’s just like how reddit silver used to be
Sounds about right, though I’m not sure if I agree with the direct comparison of calories. Milk probably isn’t going to be a major source of a person’s calories (at least it wasn’t a major source of calories for me before I went vegan), and it seems unlikely that someone will drink 4 cups of almond milk to replace each cup of dairy milk they would have drank in order to maintain the same calorie intake from milk. Comparing by volume produced makes more sense to me, since someone switching milks seems more likely to use them as a 1 to 1 replacement volume wise, e.g. someone adding 1 cup of almond milk to cereal vs. adding 1 cup of dairy to cereal.
The chart says those values are what it takes to produce one liter of each milk.
You’re right, I’m just mildly annoyed that there are people who are pescetarian for “health reasons” when fish has nothing that can’t be gained from vegan sources while also having more heavy metals than most other foods.
I take the Deva multivitamins every few days. They’re supposed to be daily, but I forget lol
You’ll have to ask the people who started calling them milks hundreds of years ago.
There are plenty of plant sources of Omega 3. Flax seeds, walnuts, soybeans, and canola oil all have decent amounts of omega 3 in them. As for protein, legumes generally have a bunch.
Really, the only thing a vegan needs to supplement is B12, but even that gets added to a bunch of stuff like breakfast cereals and plant milks if you consume those.
If Trump actually cared about securing the border, why did he call Republicans in congress to vote against the border bill that they wrote? Biden was willing to sign it into law until they killed their own bill.
