I’ll spell out how to do this, in case someone else can benefit from it. What’s needed: a rooted Android phone a VPN based ad blocker (Blokada, AdAway, etc) a USB cable a VPN hotspot app Steps: Connect your phone to a VPN based ad blocker Connect your phone to your computer Open the VPN hotspot app. Turn on USB tethering, then rndis0 If it doesn’t work, try turning on USB debugging on your phone, or changing default USB configuration under Developer options linkfedilink
