ya i find it super sus too. Like even assuming the studies finding are infalliable and true which they arent, you still have correlation/causation issues. Issues with the interplay of each persons political views with their own existing government, for example a communist in the USA or in China has a very different lived experience. Its just a nonsense study imo.

I dont think the fights we see now look anything like what a fight between the US and China would. One of, if not the most, important asset in modern warfare is your satellites. Nobody has yet fought that can hit eachothers space based assets. With China and the US they both can. So it will turn into a space war pretty quick imo. Youll have battles on the surface too yes but above every surface battle will be a space based battle. Just like how in WW2 you saw massive air battles above ground battles. No longer is only air superiority needed but space superiority too. Satellite based missile defence systems are the best way to detect and destroy these missiles and satellite guidance systems are how they navigate. WW3s gonna be in space 100%.

The beauty of these studies is because the words they use mean nothing the study can mean anything. “Right wing authoritarianism” What is right wing? Biden? Trump? They both are to me. But likely the study doesnt think biden is right wing. Did they count all Israel supporters as right wing? What were the left wing authoritarian supporters? Democrats? Green party libs? Based Stalinists?

Its like saying i did a study of cool people and found they all have bigger toes than average. What makes someone cool? Who decides whats cool and isnt cool? All governments are authoritarian so was this study just on anyone that isnt a full blown anarchist? Where do they draw the line?

I think Vietnam knows not to trust the west. They are just playing friendly to be the next China and trick the west into helping them build up industrially. They wouldn’t actually turn on the other AES states and side with the west. I’ve had a few vietnamese friends and while theyre friendly to Americans much like the Chinese are they very much know their history, and aren’t about to forget who caused all their past suffering. Not to say that AES states are a monolith either they have their disagreements, but generally speaking theyre united in their anti imperialist stance. Despite putting on a friendly face for western elites.

I literally looked up a video the other day to see if my performance issues in oblivion remaster (which i pirated cuz some awesome people cracked it like instantly) were just a linux thing, and it seems like a normal video talking about bad performance then half way thru they start throwing out anti-trans dog whistles. Putting up screen shots of trans characters in a game and being like “But this game has other issues”.

So of course i switch off the video dislike it and am like wtf. Click on another similar video and NOT ONLY is it also anti-trans but the script is WORD FOR WORD the same as the last video. Like they were both given the same script to make a video with. Now could one of them have just copied the others video? I guess. But it makes me think its like the whole sinclair broadcasting thing where all the local news anchors say the same stuff cuz they answer to the same parent company.

Well i imagine the used market prices will go up too it wont be immune to tariffs. Since the supply is limited, and everyone needs clothes. If people cant find them new theyll all go used, and people like me that were already buying used and wearing stuff til it fell apart will be pushed out of even that.

If your in america and have the means to you should be making sure all your electronics, clothes, etc are good to go for the next few years. Its gonna be hard to find and stuffs gonna be expensive. I don’t have money for new clothes which i already needed and its worrying me. Maybe i can make my own out of blankets and stuff lol. Luckily i rarely upgrade tech anyway and know how to repair stuff so on that i should be fine. Food should be alright for most things atleast. Hope you don’t like Tilapia tho. Like 90% comes from China.
