  • Sounds like cloning.

We already have a way of doing that but in a evolutionary more successfull way. It’s called fucking and having offspring. Some people opt in doing that, others dont.

If the memory erased thing was off the table we’d have a different talk but parents raising kids and make them learn from their experience is as close as it gets. With access to all sorts of info our way of doing it is even better. One thing im truly missing though is passing learned skills like guitar or muscles to our clones. Re-learning all that shit is a waste of time.

  • There’s still someone mapping out the features, designs etc b4 the AI goes to create it. Also saying 30% of code was AI generated hides cost of making the correct input: Planning, already existing code, Testing & Feedback loop, Reviewing. Its like saying Roofers aren’t needed because 100% of nails were done with a nailgun.

Some tasks are easy with AI, others aren’t but even when the code itself was 100% autonomous AI generated, the features, design was mapped out by someone is probably sufficient to retain copyright.

An image created by a five word prompt does not have a creative depth in creation like an image created by AI but with many refinement steps to get something truly unique.

  • I have 2 bachelors. Had to do the second because first’s field wasnt hiring by the time i finished. Second now gets automated by AI.

Basically got hit by 2 historic recessions by the time i finished each.

I’d strongly emphasize doing trade/care as of now. You hear the troubles the tech ppl have getting hired? I bet 90% of office jobs get automated with having cheap developers + AI.

Robots which go to ppls homes and repair plumbing or electricity is still 50-200 years away.
