Google got in years ago at a price around 10$ or lower per share. They didn’t get in during the IPO / after.

My guess is they will simply take back all the money they can whenever some shares unlock. They did make >x10 returns in a few years, at the current (overpriced) value of 115$ / share.

I think this is Elon’s strategy. Everyone who got in early will be happy to sell even if the stock completely crash down, making big profits. Everyone else is just another bag holder thinking they are getting in at a “deal of a lifetime price” as they see something once worth 220$ down to whatever it is.

Edit: I looked it up, Google got in at 1 to 1.20$ per share back in 2015. It’s only in the news now because they had to disclause a massive gain from their initial investment. They will be able to start selling next week.

Assuming you’re in USA, you do understand that there’s only right and extreme right ? There is no proper representation for the center or the left over there. I hope you vote closest to your convictions though, as not voting is akin to voting for the elected party. “No vote” actually won the last elections, too bad “No vote” isn’t a center party. You got extreme right instead.

Let’s say there are 100 tables in the world. If one person has 50 tables then it means everyone else has less. If mister tables aquires an additional table, can we agree it is coming from someone else ? Someone poorer. Even if the governement can make a new table to replace it, the fact that mr table is sucking up all tables on the market is still a problem for every one else.

You say they don’t have money, but if they live well, buy everything they want and influence the world as they see fit, I feel it’s disingenuous to say they don’t actually have money. They’re certainly sucking up your tables.

I’m going on a tangeant here, but it’s exactly why you don’t want your government to be cash positive. A government in the green is taking that money from someplace. A government in the red is actually helping everyone else not drown. It’s all a matter of where that money is going. That explains why the vast majority of countries run in the red. A government paying it’s own debt is the same as deleting money from the economy.

I do agree with your general sentiment though.
