I meet kangaroos a lot on daily basis. One of my dogs was obsessed with chasing them (he still loves to but I have more control over him now). A few times he cornered a roo and I had no chance of calling him off or catching him to drag him away. Some of these guys were over 2 metres tall. Roos are cut AF and their claws are as large as carnivore claws. Trust me, you don’t want a roo to touch you. Anyway, a stick to keep them at sufficient distance to be able to retrieve my dog was all I ever needed, but to be safe I started carrying a knife too; roo meat is very tasty.

If I remember correctly, it used to be a thing here in Australia, but I’ve not heard of it for a decade or more.

It’s fucking ridiculous the lengths I have to go through to dodge meals at the in-laws. Luckily my partner is on my side. Her mom can’t cook for shit.

Sorry, my reply was just a quick reaction trying to highlight that neither dems nor reps fight for their voters.

I just wrote the first party other than the dems or reps that I could think of, because I know that neither the former or latter fight for what their voters want.

I’m not extolling virtues of an Sync’s code. I also don’t understand why a lot of people automatically think that open source is better “because anyone can look at it”. All I’m saying that to me it’s much of a muchness. I don’t understand code so open or closed it’s not a draw card for me.

The edit is the message that appears when I tap the little downvote arrow on the left that shows how many people downvoted the post/comment. It used to work before.

Today I commented on something and got 12 upvotes. Clearly, people liked my take. I also got 12 downvotes on the same comment and that provided a reality check - my take is agreeable to some, disagreeable to others. Then of course I have to take into account all the users in all instances that don’t allow downvotes. How many people disagree with me that can’t let me know without replying? Do I need to rethink my stance on that particular position or should I just double down on it because 12 people liked it?
