That’s the problem. If a deputized officer that is part of a local police force or national guard ends up having to arrest members of the DoJ, it could result in a standoff and give an excuse to our Cheeto in chief to declare martial law. I really fucking hope that doesn’t happen or that our generals force him to back down but I very much see that as a possibility.

This is how civil war starts. If the judiciary starts issuing arrest warrants over this unlawful kidnapping, they may need to deputize officers that are not under the control of the trump admin which could pit our armed forces against each other. Best case scenario is the judiciary finds the arrest unlawful and the FBI backs down because they’re being threatened with contempt.

We’ve had protests like this in the past which failed miserably. Look up “occupy wall street”. Americans don’t like protesting that ends up disrupting the economic machine. We protest by disrupting the political process. It actually can work in our favor this time since trump and his cronies are the ones disrupting the economic machine. We just need other countries to keep up the pressure economically while we put political pressure on the current administration.

Some do, some don’t. Most ex-mormons like myself don’t end up going to another religion. We already have a community of like-minded people on the outside.

The colorblind route is how we got here. We’ve been taking the colorblind route for decades and the only way we’ve been able to fight back is to listen to the minorities that are here and build our communities around celebration of our differences. I’m not going to treat everyone the same because the reality is that we are not all the same. Everyone has their own quirks and experiences and neuroses. I treat everyone how they want to be treated because that is how I respect their individuality. Everyone has the potential to teach me important things I don’t know.

Pretending to be colorblind doesn’t make one colorblind. Americans have largely adopted an ideology of anti-racism. That is, acknowledge that racial biases exist and keep the door open for healthy conversations. You may try to ignore the fact that racial biases exist but doing so only perpetuates them.
