Im not trying to diminish your feelings, I’m sorry my dude, I feel for you I really do, but you shouldn’t really spiral into a deep depression over a pet.

You obviously have some other shit going on that would make you react that way and therapy will really help, not just with the grieving but understanding yourself.

Probably because it is, they don’t like you, or they don’t want the job.

I’m not trying to be mean, but contractors will price it outrageously or say “this will be a big job” because they don’t want the job, so you say no.

Ehhh some of this is great advice about sales tactics, but you should definitely get a contractor to come out and look over the place again.

Reason being is if there is something that was missed in your initial inspection that another contractor found, you can go back to the realtor and demand them to be fixed. Especially for new builds.

However you only have a small window for this, because if you wait too long the realtor and or contractors can say it was you and it’s not their responsibility.

Also you should always get multiple bids from several contractors. If someone is going to do the job at a really low price, that means that contractor will cut corners, and do more harm than good. If someone is giving you an astronomical price that is completely unreasonable that means the contractor doesn’t want the job.

There is also this other “tactic” that construction companies know very well. That is if the company is trying to give you a deal, you as a customer are going to nitpick every little thing. Flip side, if they mark it up the customer will always believe it’s the best job that was ever done.

Macroeconomics 101 would tell you no, prices won’t go down because prices are sticky. Like your salary for example, just because a business is doing poorly your wage won’t go down.

I won’t get into the weeds about it, but if Ukraine was magically restored tomorrow, prices wouldn’t go down but it would help prices from going up faster.

I’m on the latter part of 30 and I’m in bumble and tinder. I decided to give myself a month on them and if nothing happens I’ll remove it. I’m not exactly on the prowl but I feel like I’ve given myself enough time to “work on myself” since my last relationship. So I’m testing the water. Also all my friends are all hitched or have kids, so there isn’t a lot of mutual single friends.

It’s either, super model hot bot, or no thanks… There really isn’t an in-between. I understand that sounds shallow, but that’s been my experience. Then when you finally get matched no one actually makes conversation. Like I’m not going to sit here and try to drag a conversation out of you.

You’re right too. The apps are also really only focused on just trying to get you to spend money, not getting you a match.

Tinder for example says I have 20+ “matches” but I can’t see them unless I pay. And when I swipe it’s not like any of those people are put up front. You only get 20 likes and none of them will be the people that have “matched” with you.

It’s also not cheap either. It’s like 20 dollars a month.

Bumble is even worse.

Dude you hit the nail on the head right there. I’ve been thinking of installing Reddit back because some of the content I enjoyed there is just not here.

Ive tried to recreate the subs I had on Reddit to here, but it’s empty. So I just browse All and block anything that has to do with politics, but it’s impossible because everything is just lefty politics in some way. I really enjoyed the live action. Imo, it cut a lot of the filler from the animated show. I dislike wasting my time watching an episode that adds nothing to the plot.

I really think they should have just continued the story, rather than try to reboot it. I really hope they continue it though.
