Yeah fuck this guys (OP, not the person I’m replying under) take. Hobbies need less gatekeepers and if I want to do research about gear, make nice purchases as a way to deepen my investment into the hobby so be it.

Example: I just got into fitness. I have almost no need for some of the products ive been buying, however through the research ive stumbled across some excellent articles and a few YouTube channels that inspire me. Even if the gear / gadgets do nothing more than inspire you to show up and try them out, its worked.

This is the way, van even organize into categories. I’ve never understood the appeal of having 400+ tabs open in a browser all the time.

Thanks for context, I could not be bothered to research anything about this guy. Glad his mom found recovery but the specifics here make it even more ridiculous how he is tying his moms substance use issues to the proverbial boogeymen south of the border.

Its not widely accepted…back when his mother was addicted to opiates it was likely “China white” in that area of the country; likely imported from the middle east / asia. Heroin coming from mexico has historically been the “black tar” variety.

Thats if she was taking heroin. If it was Rx opiates she didn’t need to go further than her pain doctor back then. The rules have changed a lot over the years but 10 years ago she would have been able to get those filled by her provider.

2. report them for sexual harassment.

3 & 4) especially 4 just report to HR for having too many political comments on the floor.

All the stuff you listed is inappropriate and contributing the drama. You report it so that you can say “I’ve already made it known I’m not trying to have these conversations with you, please stop” and when they don’t you go back to step one till they get fired.

The alternative is to learn to accept your coworkers as they are, unprofessional or not, and not let their bullshit irritate you so much.
