This is just the same thing but at a much smaller and more controlled scale, and last I checked the sun hasn’t produced any world ending black holes despite the far more extreme reactions constantly happening within it. A man even survived a high energy proton beam from one of those accelerators passing through his brain and was able to continue his career in quantum physics, so at that point I doubt they’re capable of anything world ending.

Hemp is very versatile and can be used to make similar paper products while growing at a much faster rate, which potentially makes it a good replacement. The association with marijuana is part of what prevented it from catching on though.
It’s also a massive risk when even the advanced ones have a high rejection rate of around 44% that’s never talked about, and don’t have nearly as much fine control as the media makes them out to be on top of being uncomfortably heavy for some people. While some do like them, a lot wind up preferring simpler ones or none at all.
