We cancelled Amazon Prime, and I won’t buy on their platform anymore. I bought something off Ebay, and sure enough it came from Amazon anyway. I guess they either dropped shipped or they fulfill their orders. I’ve bought a few things straight from the company and the price was the same. Shipping took a little longer, but I’ll gladly wait if means not supporting these companies that grovel to dictators.

This is only one type of intelligence and LLMs are already better at humans at regurgitating facts. But I think people really underestimate how smart the average human is. We are incredible problem solvers, and AI can’t even match us in something as simple as driving a car.
But what about all of the freedom?!? And bravery!?!
Sorry for your loss, here’s to your friend. Sounds like he was a good buddy, I hope the good memories of him bring you some peace.
Give him a break, he is at least admitting his mistake and has reformed his opinions. I am sure it was a difficult journey, and he should be celebrated for making it out.
