Get to know your coworkers
Community outside work is important too ofc, but getting to know your coworkers is the first step if you want to organize. And you might discover that you work with some cool people!
Idk, I think the vegan struggle session was the worst I’ve ever seen here, and this current stuff isn’t even close to that imo. Tbf though I never pay that much attention to site drama anyway
I feel very seen by this meme
I have this playlist saved that I think is meant to be exactly what you’re asking for: https://open.spotify.com/playlist/5bmkfHCWd8MIU7Okk52gMO
I didn’t create the playlist; I actually don’t even remember where I found it
Srsly, if you want people in your life to actually help Palestine, there are much better ways. Maybe encourage them to donate to gofundmes on gazafunds.com or something. Go to a protest together. Tell them about the BDS movement.
But on the other hand, why do any of that when you could instead take the option of antagonizing them about their electoral choices. Really piss them off, get them to stop taking you seriously. Burn bridges and shrink your sphere of influence within your community. That’s what will really be helpful to the people of Palestine.
I can’t fucking wait for election season to be over
The more practical answer is to get a small camping stove or something like it. That way you can use gas in an emergency without having to hook up your home to a gas grid
Here come the treat defenders

I think that’s a really bad faith interpretation of his comment
Then go over to Texas and you tend to get genuinely, weirdly friendly people.
So true though. I’ve lived here my whole life, but most of my coworkers are from other states. I’m the one that’s always convincing people to eat lunch with me instead of alone at their desks. It’s been fun getting all these dorks to open up and get to know each other.
I also enjoy occasionally sprinkling some leftist stuff into these lunch conversations. Nobody expects communism from the person with the yeehaw accent
