CalyxOS. Uses microG but is otherwise google free. Feels fairly vanilla and has a pretty solid backup solution in Seedvault

I think Graphene supports Auto. Its the only thing that makes me want to switch from Calyx

Credit unions are better but that doesnt mean their app will work on a rooted device

Ive been using ivy on my Chromecast it’s good, but Flauncher looks more like what I want.
Protip for Chromecast users - disable the stock launcher via adb to set a new default

Samsung could easily win me over if their bootloader was unlock able.
Edit: Apparently it’s just US variants that can’t be unlocked
