I feel like your sister’s reaction is the same as some people’s when finding their spouse cheating with someone else. Who do they get mad at and attack? Not their partner, but the person they are cheating with. It’s illogical and dumb. But they don’t want to be mad at their partner. They want very desperately to believe that it was someone else who forced them to do something horrible.

Not that he was cheating, but this is the next closest thing and your sister feels an emotion similar to that.

Not to excuse her, but I think that’s where she’s coming from. It’s a dumb response and hopefully she realizes it and chastises her husband, not the innocent sister who’s just minding her own business and shared an innocent picture. What did she expect you to do? Just not respond? Would she have been mad at him for starting this conversation?

I had someone say something similar to me once. It hurt deeply because I liked her a lot and she knew it.

But just know people like this are trying to be as mean as they can be and sometimes they know what to say to cut you deep. Whether it’s true or not, they know what hits you in the deepest part and they’re trying to inflict damage on you. It’s like a military general picking an area with the most people to bomb because that is precisely where it will cause the most damage.

Don’t pay it any mind. Ignore it. Move on from it. Move on from her. She’s toxic for saying that and not worth your time or just you giving her a thought in the day.

People like this are often miserable and they want to bring someone else down to their level. Don’t let them. It hurts, but try to move on the best you can. That’s the best way to deal with people like this.

The woman who said the similar things to me is now in a very lonely place, herself. After years of letting her step on me and berate me and use me, I finally left her. I realized she needed me more than I needed her and I was ready to find someone who would actually value me for me and not belittle me while relying on me so heavily. She actually reached out to me a few years later to tell me her mom passed away. I didn’t laugh in her face or say anything mean, but it made me realize that she’s lonely and I’m likely the only person she felt close to, to talk to in her grief.

Say all that to say…hang in there. Sorry she said these mean things to you and it cut as deep as it did.

Try your best to move on and rise above it. Don’t dwell on it. Find people who will value you and not belittle you. Realize she’s likely miserable and taking out some of that on you. You can be sympathetic by walking away and letting her be miserable by herself until she matures and doesn’t treat others like this.

I have a hard time trying to determine whether I like 3 or 5 more, myself. 3 was my first FC game I ever played and I fell in love with it. So much innovation at the time and a really good story to complement.

5 is similar in a lot of ways. A lot of new stuff was added, like actual helicopters and now planes, which added air warfare to the game in even more fun ways. Plus the companions. So many to choose from and such fun characters to have alongside you, including animal companions, which was really awesome. A fucking bear and cougar following alongside you was so badass. The story was great too. Something that was a bit different than a warlord but still a psychotic maniac. Probably also helped that the setting was closer to home for many of us and some of us find that more fun.

The map was also great. Very large and a lot of things to do. I loved how it separated it between 4 maniacs and not just one too. 3 bosses to fight and then the main villain.

I’ve always wondered what makes a wrap different than a burrito since it, too, is wrapped in a tortilla.

It’d be nice but would hurt indies because indies thrive due to not needing a physical port, and only releasing one once they are popular and successful enough to afford it.

I guess you could include some verbiage that would target AAA studios, but they’ll find a way around it like they do everything else.

And at this point, I’m not really fond of most AAA titles anyway so this won’t do much for people like myself to care anymore. Physical releases are something I care about less since other issues have arisen over the years, specifically in the quality of the game, itself.

I am blown away by KDEnLive and how quickly I’ve been able to pick it up to learn it.

It’s as simple as the classic Windows Movie Maker but also just as capable as iMovie or what little I did in FinalCutPro on a Mac.

One feature I love on this is that I was editing a video on my Windows gaming PC and have the files all on the cloud. I then loaded that same project on my Linux laptop and it gave me an error that it didn’t have the media… however…it would parse a folder FOR ME and then add that media back into the project. In minutes I had the complete video timeline just as it was on my Windows machine now on my Linux laptop.

It’s also just so basic and easy to use. It’s a bit refreshing and not intimidating to use. Granted, I am someone who’s somewhat familiar with video editing from other applications, but not a pro by any means.

I don’t do food deliveries anymore but when I did, almost always did the food come in a paper bag that had a sticker over it which would let you know if someone tampered with it after the food was prepared, i.e. the driver. The drinks also came with a sticker over the top of it to cover both the lid and the insert for the straw so you’d know if someone removed it.

I’ve gotten them recently when doing curbside pickups at places like McDonald’s too.

I think streamers would know their food was tampered with. Unless someone was extremely careful, but that’s difficult when dealing with the paper bags and stickers.

I wonder how well it’ll play because it’s a bit rough to play the DLC on the Steam Deck while the main game plays just fine.

It’s ironic considering their early days in gaming. They were targeted by Universal over a BS lawsuit for using “Kong” in Donkey Kong and him being a gorilla like King Kong.

Now they’re pulling the same crap on smaller people/businesses and also working with the very company who did the lawsuit to bring their games to the movies.

This was my comment. My dad and I felt that same way but my grandmother just couldn’t understand how we could.

Someone corrected me the other day on here that it’s not all games that are doing that but only some will be a game key and others will be the full game. I’m assuming that all first party titles will be the game key since this is largely about piracy and not allowing people to easily dump the game from the cartridge like people did for the Switch.

Wait so there will be two different types of cartridges? Some that do hold game data and others that don’t and are just the digital key?

I was under the impression this would be all cartridges for the Switch 2.

They made a change that the cartridges no longer hold the game data but will require a download of the game and the cartridge is just a key for the digital game.

That will stop game dumping from the cartridge. But with a jailbroken console, we can still get the game that way.

I’ve been really liking the art style of the Common Side Effects tv show. It’s like anime but very western in feel with just the right amount of CGI, where it’s not too much but used in the right angles.
